I definitely thought Ronnie Vinson would be a star too. He was a beast in the spring game prior to last season I think, then he never played a snap and now I think he's at Tulane.

Did you really have to take the Ratphuk Hobley route? Really?

RJ Jackson had an awesome video coming out of high school in Texas. Tore his knee up and his career was done. He was an All American and a highly rated 4 star.

2004 - Xavier Carter - thought this dude was destined for football greatness, not track greatness.
2006 - Derrick Odom - I thought for sure he would be twice the LB Riley and Sheppard were. I was close. He was twice as crazy.
2007 - Phelon Jones - I thought he was the DB who would start a trend like #7.
2008 - Thomas Parsons - I thought he had future 1st round LT material.
2009 - Chris Garrett - I thought he was always going to be the QB over Shep ... didn't think he'd walk so soon.
2010 - Jakhari Gore - thought he'd be special.

He was the player of the year in Houston his senior year, but yep, he never recovered from the knee injury. However, he did become a good special team player...
