Question---Jeremy Hill was a grey shirt freshman not a red shirt freshman.

My understanding of the rule states that a recruit has to be in the program 3 years before entering the NFL draft.

When is a grey shirt considered a part of the program?

What is the rule for grey shirts entering the NFL draft?

I would hope LSU has contingency plans in place.

He will be 3 years removed from HS so it doesn't matter.

Does everyone think that if the staff wasn't supremely confident in getting LF that we would have still turned someone like Adam Taylor away? Turning him away in itself it pretty telling that LF is essentially a lock to LSU. Couple that with the fact that LF,SN, and GW all talk about playing with each other and being "part of a special class" also points to being a lock to LSU considering that both are heavy LSU leans at this point, with SN being the biggest LSU lock on the board right now as long as Frank is still with us

Adam Taylor probably would have seen the field this year. I know. I know. I'm :beatdeadhorse:

That's a lot of fail in a single post right there.

First, Hill was a freshman, period. But he was already a year out of high school heading into last season. Now he's TWO years out, and after the 2013 season, he's THREE years out, and can enter the NFL draft. And it doesn't make a damn what color shirt you claim he wears.

and it has nothing to do with the strategy that Miles seems to have employed, unless Blue is a going to enter the draft unexpectedly. Then it should be discussed. But it is not the case.

I'd say Blue and Hill are closer than people think, and it isn't a stretch to say Blue is better than Hill. I'm not saying he is, but it isn't out of the question.

Both are really good backs.

Also, it might be smart to see how he comes back from the injury...

Exactly what I was thinking. Always an iffy proposition.

Worth it.

You should have said "pulled a Joe McKnight', that would have at least made sense.

If LF isn't available when we pick, I'd rather trade down for extra picks. You can typically find quality RB's in the mid to later rounds.
