Did a search and couldn't find, and so can someone please summarize the top recruits in this state [can't find if either the Adv or the TP have come up with their lists], to whom they've committed and/or where they're considering.

What I'd really like to see is a compilation of the last 5 years in terms of number of the top 20 players, how many each year has Les missed [assuming he recruited them, which wasn't always the case], and perhaps even more telling, where they've gone. Is is 'Bama? Is it the Barn?

The long term success of this program is the Fence. Miami erected one when Schnellenger went there in the early 80's. Jimmy and Erickson maintained the Fence, and it brought them what 4 NC's?

Scout did a story during the season that since 2006; CLM first full recruiting season, that LSU has acquired signatures of 90% of in state offers. As long as our staff are evaluating correctly, the mythical invisible fence is fine.

This season for instance, we have offered 20 in state kids and will get most likely 17 excluding of course Dutchtown Drama Queen Ego Maniac, DD, and Bourque. That's 85%.

I don't think Les has really missed many. There are a lot of Louisiana boys playing for the Tigers. We may have missed some where we were already deep at a position or lost one or two by scheme or things that certain kids specialize in that we don't do. I know we have had a few get away like Collins but, it's tough to beat out a girlfriend and a good friend( Lacy) pulling an 18 year old kid in a certain direction. A kid already in the Bama program telling his buddy how good it is works very well. Hey , I say being able to spot the kids that you know will continue to grow and get better is alot better than getting the big name kid who never progresses.

Lsu has gotten well over 85% of kids they gave offers to.

That's outstanding, if you want to bitch about that, go find out Georgia's success rate.

I don't think LSU needs help from A&M joining the SEC to recruit East Texas you're thinking too much

A&M joining the SEC helps A&M and Arkansas' recruiting at the most likely expense of Texas and Oklahoma. Time will tell.

And Mizzou's recruiting will be hurt by the move. They just cut their Texas pipeline that fed their program. Good thing they care more about hoops in MO anyway

In that case, don't bother. South and West Texas don't have any athletes. Not many Tony Gonzales' running around

To chicken sh** to say to someone's face/hide behind your screen name I thought LSU didn't offer DD? I thought he was more of a 3-4 linebacker. He fits Bama's defense better than ours. Just kidding on the first part I know you have to be just a kid.

The "Fence" now looks like the Mexican border fence.

Rivals has state rankings lists with school of commitment going back to 2003. Don't even need a subscription.

We've played for 3 national titles in less than a decade, & won 2 of them. In the last 11 years, we've won:

4 SEC Championships
5 SEC Western Division Championships

Pretty sure we're doing just fine in recruiting in Louisiana, and everywhere else.

Since 2000, we've AVERAGED MORE THAN 10 WINS PER YEAR.

Adam Banks I am speaking offensively LSU will always get athletes on the defensive side of the ball no matter where they are from.
