And Perriloux was committed to Texas when Saban was at LSU. Maybe a bad comparison, but we don't have that 2007 title without him.

IMO it proves that its not as easy to recruit la as people think. Plenty of programs close by that have been better than lsu the majority of my life. Any school we recruit against can offer what lsu offers in academics and facilities sometimes more.
Hats off to LES MILES for doing an amazing job at keeping LSU at the top.

Yep, were screwed, since Miles has been here we haven't had a single #1 recruiting class and have lost 3 5* star players (McKinght, Jackson and Collins). Time to pack it in, we'll never recover. Les can't even lock down La, he will never be able to get a top recruit from Alabama let alone : Texas, Florida, So Carolina, Georgia, Ohio,, Michigan or Indiana

New ro recruiting? There has not been a fence since Saban left. Not knocking Miles, but this isn't the first 5 star that left the state during his tenure.

Plus im not saying that miles is not successful. Im just pointing out that eventually losing players like this will catch up to us eventually.

Let's wait a couple more years to see if the "fence" has been kicked in by Saban. If all 15 top Louisiana players signed with other schools, then yes, the "fence" has been kicked to pieces. Last I checked, this hasn't happened.
Strangely, I wasn't that angry that Landon chose Bama as I was more excited that we may still have a chance to pull in prized recruits from other states.

Phelon Jones was a freshman at LSU in 2007. He also went to LSU to play with his old childhood friend Chevis Jackson, but what do I know I'm just an idiot.

Huh? Saban is losing the top 3 players in Alabama this year, and 6 out the top 10. He certainly never locked Louisiana when he was here. Rufus Alexander, Akeem Jolla, Brock Berlin, and Brett Rawls were all national top 100 recruits that little Nicky couldn't get to stay home
