If he threw a better ball he would be ranked higher than Caleb Williams. Every site agrees Williams is better and so do college coaches

Wasn’t Shea Patterson MVP of elite 11? You see how that worked out.

I wouldn't get too bent out of shape.

2015 - They picked Shea Patterson ober Dwayne Haskins and Jacob Eason

2014 - They picked Blake Barnett over Kyler Murray, Josh Rosen, Jarrett Stidham and Drew Lock

2013 - They picked Sean White over Deshaun Watson, Will Grier and Kyle Allen

2012 - They picked Asiantii Woulard over Jared Goff, Josh Dobbs and Malik Zaire

2011 - They picked Neal Burcham and Tanner Mangum as co-MVPs with Jameis.

2010 - Jeff Driskel over Tedd Bridgewater.

Thanks for looking that up.

It’s Especially interesting when viewed in an historical context. Confirms this: It is extremely difficult to predict long term success at the quarterback position. I mean look at the hit rate of first round QBs in the NFL draft.

If they were actually good at evaluating QB talent, the scouts at elite 11 would be working for a college or NFL team making a lot more money doing the same exact thing that they are now.

TL;DR:

I like Nuss. Think he’s a baller when the real lights come on. Confirmation bias by the talking heads.

If you would actually watch both throw, you would see it too. And college coaches swing and miss on players all the time.

The thing that impressed me the most about the Elite 11 event is that it is a complete and utter joke.

There is only one way to evaluate QB talent level and that is through live game action. I mean just because a QB is good at QB drills, doesn't mean he is good in live game action.

So? Winning that event which amounts to nothing means nothing. Plus the winners aren't really the winners of the event as we saw at this week's event. Indeed, the Elite 11 is nothing but a pathetic joke.

Well Dilfer said 75% was Junior film on the Elite 11 live stream

Well he must have been really impressed with that whopping 1770 yards and 19 touchdowns Caleb Williams passed for in his 2019 season.

So apparently you were really super duper impressed with with Caleb's 2019 highlight video where he passed for a whopping 1770 yards and 19 touchdowns and with a very impressive completion percentage of 56 percent.

Hell, that's exceedingly impressive next to Nussmeier's 2019 stats of only a measly 3,788 yards and only 38 touchdowns and with a very lackluster completion percentage of 67 percent.

No clue why 75% would be from film

Saw somewhere that this is not the way they usually do it. This year, because of COVID-19, they weren’t able to do certain things they normally do for their evaluations, like the 7 on 7, etc. to evaluate pressure situations and thinking.
