I'm not sure what this has to do with my post. The person I was replying to said that LSU can surely afford the big NIL payments for these portal DTs, because LSU football generates tens of millions of dollars each year. I pointed out that those millions are totally separate from the pool of money we spend on NIL.
Of course BK is in charge of deciding how the money is spent. But that doesn't mean we can use athletic department money to make NIL payments.

Did you pay attention to the NFL Draft that just took place? DT was weakest I can ever remember in my lifetime. You would think any DT draft eligible this year would have declared. But they didn't. Because they are not that good.
These guys are all looking for the biggest payday they can get for one year because they know the money isn't coming anytime soon from NFL. It's smart on their part and I'm sure their agents are leading them.

Not going to post specific premium info (and I'm not even an On3 member but a friend as work is) but Shea just posted some really positive news(*). I'm OK being concerned for nothing. 
(*) Caveat, it's vague enough that he can rely on the old "recruiting is fluid" out if it goes the other way).

I did detect some sarcasm in your post i don't think the downvotes did. Look do i think Kelly can coach? yes. Do I finally think he has the right coaches in place?yes. Do i think he has shite the bed on recruiting DT's and getting them in the transfer portal this year? HELL YES. To the downvoters. Show me the DT's

Not ever player in the portal is a take based on positional need. See our defensive back room from last year for example. Theres not a ton of players in the portal that are game changers or any better than what you got this go round. Some of these are team chemistry killers. You can’t pay a kid double the guy beside him that’s been here 4 years and just as talented without causing a ton of internal issues.
