Swinson is really good but they was a significant drop off when Womack spelled him. He got benched for lazy play and didn't travel to Florida because of it and then was passed up by carpenter who looked just as good.

Again, how does this compare to the other Top 10 classes that year?

We need a baseline of “normal” now and all classes will be filled with high turnover now

Hard to really know with Kelly's seniority rules.

Orgeron is responsible for that class and for every BK loss in the next 5 years too. Yes, Coach O destroyed LSU and never won anything.

I am deathly afraid of Womack leaving. Every time he's played, hes been effective.
Texas.

This just isn't true. Has all the talent in the world. Just doesn't play assignment football.

I disagree. It's not the talent. It's the coaching.

LSU's 2023 class was unanimously ranked fifth in the country. LSU signed prospects that everyone else wanted.

You can't sign a top five class in football and then act like you signed a bunch of scrubs.

Also, those guys' development is still ongoing.

Update: I agree with the OP's sentiment. The class doesn't look good on paper. Regardless if the players are/were talented, the truth is that it hasn't worked out for a lot of the guys only one year into it and there will probably be more guys that transfer out. Kiind of pointless to get excited about recruiting classes honestly.

You’re really gonna try to make the case that the 2023 class is good? Lmao that’s up there with some of the absolute wildest shite I’ve ever seen on this board.

Even if pimpton, Tyree Adams, kylin jackson, and mubenga all play well when they get their chance, that’s an entire recruiting class that netted ~8 playable players
It's literally only been 2 years. Give it fricking time. I like how you listed Kaleb Jackson like he didn't have 4 TDs as a true freshman 4th stringer.

Adams is going to start at tackle next year

Jackson and Toviano will get significant time at star and safety.

Pimpton will get his as long as he stays at LSU.

Transfers are just a part of the deal now. You can't judge a class on guys who transfer literally 1-2 years later.

Adams would've started at LG after Dellinger got hurt if he wasn't hurt
He also started a game when Jones was out and played other times
He's very likely to start next year

Pimpton played a lot the last 4 games
