No clue if this kid will even catch a pass at lsu but so sick of people bringing up Justin Jefferson. For every JJ, I can give you 100 3* that didn’t add up to anything.

The staff offered him and accepted his commitment. He has potential to become a contributor and he wants to be in the program

Exactly. Everyone acting like ratings don’t matter are full of shite. But yeah, it’s the “well this one guy did it everyone can do it” argument. It’s annoying.
Just cause one 3 star turned into Justin Jefferson doesn’t mean we compare every 3 star to Justin Jefferson. It’s just biased homer nonsense.

tOSU gets kids from the South whom don't want to face SEC talent game after game.

No, but maybe he'll come in with a chip on his shoulder and EARN IT!

Rfajr, does being a prick come natural to you or did you have to work at it?

Thought for sure Kyle Parker was gonna be white

Kyle, welcome to the Tiger Nation.

My friend is a coach in the northern DFW suburbs. He said they usually have to put their fastest corner on this guy. He is still a little green in other receiver attributes but that can be coached.

Having to rely on the outlier to prove the rule means you've lost the argument.
"People should graduate from high school."
"Nuh uh, there's this one guy who dropped out and he's loaded now".

Damn he never got close too be caught from behind. Looks damn good.

Strong hands.
For his height he seems strong.
Is he shifty enough?
Doesn't seem like a burner at that size.

2017
Neil Ferrell
Clyde Edwards-Helaire
Racey McMath
Justin Jefferson
LSU had nine 3 stars in their 2017 #7 ranked class. Two of them transfered and one never even enrolled after signing. So of the remaining 6 that stayed at LSU, 2 played great on special teams and helped us with depth in crunch time and the other 4 were drafted.
2018
Lot of nonsensical commits here. Even at the time many of us didn't understand why we were allowing all these low potential non SEC level guys to commit. We did get, however, a legit starter and NFL draft pick in Damien Lewis, a previous starter and possible continued starter in Cam Wire, and a possible draft pick at WR next year with Jaray Jenkins.
2019
We got ten 3 star players in this #6 ranked class. As of right now, Flott has been drafted, York has been drafted, Ward is a starting safety and Turner will be starting at center. Three others transfered.
So of the 7 that stayed, 4 will have been starters and 2 are already 4th round or better draft picks.
2020 is shaping up to be a decent 3 star haul as well. Also, you can see just how well talented and developed 3 stars can be. LSU will have 3 guys in the starting 5 of the secondary as 3 stars, and Brooks was less than 40 spots from being a 3 star himself.

quote:I watch Carter Bryant on youtube, and he made a great point about this kid. This kid is YOUNG! He's not fully developed yet. He's going to be turning 17 going into his senior year. He's young like Jefferson was. He's young like CEH was. CEH didn't turn 18 until the spring of 2017. This is a 16 year old kid. I'm actually expecting him to get a bump on the rankings.

More than half of the NFL is 3 stars.

Burned some Junior film on Parker this morning
Not a ton of flash, but really good route runner that creates good separation. Lulls DBs to sleep on deep stuff. Quietly athletic, as he runs by & away fro defenders,
Versatile inside or outside but my guess is a college slot. Strong after catch, willingness to turn up field & get most out of catch.
QB play looks spotty for him as a Jr. limited on how they get him the ball, as you see a bunch of bubbles & short stuff. But there are times when Parker has to go into his bag, & you can see what he is capable of
