The problem with UTex is they have all the money in the world, but the Hippies have total control of the Univ. Strong was a PC hire more than a football hire, and the facilities are all crammed into one really small area,and they are beginning to show their age. Makes it virtually impossible to recruit against ATM & Baylor which are spending money like its going out of style.

wow. to say it's virtually impossible for Texas to recruit against Baylor or A&M is pretty comical. Neither of those schools are consistently beating Texas out for the same recruits. By no means am I a Texas fan but it's probably safe to assume that they will be back in the hunt in the near future. Too much going for them with the city, quality education, money, etc.
And no, the hippies don't run the university but I'm sure Wooderson would say it'd be a lot cooler if they did.

Texas' commitments aren't even that impressive.
Top 5 program obviously has too many chiefs (donors) that pull it in so many directions, that it has no gravity, anymore.

They've given up 517 yds in 3 Qtrs vs Cal. I thought Strong was safe for atleast 1 more season but now I'm not so sure.
