Surely they'll hit one of their predictions soon? I am honestly doing the threads so I can keep a reminder of who they claim to lead for and how long.

Sabans staff turns over regularly and it doesn’t affect his ability to pull elite players.

Because Saban is the GOAT recruiter and it’s not close. Doesn’t matter whose on staff

He’s 1 of 1 though. Nobody like him and probably wont ever be again.

Both Texas and A&M are really hoping for early commitments with how they've made their offers in NIL.

If you can read between the lines, by virtue of them both pressing for commitments, they have both made at the very least their best first offer.

LSU and Brian Kelly is not pressing for early commitments because they know, perhaps better than both Texas schools that at LSU, it's about more than just the NIL offer.

That's not to say we are going to get into a bidding war for guys. Kelly is not going to get involved with that on principle.

What the staff is going to do is put their best comprehensive offer forward, and I think most of the guys were after will appreciate that and become LSU Tigers.

Personally out of McKinley, Simmons, Singleton and Mack, I think we pull 3/4 of them with Singleton being the outlier.

It does suck for us as fans, especially amongst some of the less patient portions of our fan base, but we will likely be waiting until right before the early signing period to find out who will be coming to LSU.

Ok, so I'm trying to glean from this thread what I can, but come away in the same position as before I read it. Doesn't seem like anyone knows.

LSU is getting hurt with McKinley because of the revolving door at Defensive Line Coach by these other schools and for good reason. They say LSU is behind Texas and Oklahoma for him

Well, OU & Texas ain't won shite in a while.

We're not "behind" anything in this century.

Recruits don’t look at it through the same lens as fans. They look at a combination of things, with some things more important to each one.

In this case, if McKinley is valuing stability and relationship with his position coach, we may be behind with the revolving door we’ve had at the position for a while.

Relationships matter in this decision, and unfortunately Lindsey hasn’t had much time to build with him.

It’s not over yet, but momentum is not on our side

I wouldn’t put stock into that. Texas has been putting out lots of false information regarding Mack Simmons Jaboree Antoine and others

The final decision won't be because of a DL Coach relationship

Except for the fact that Lindsey was recruiting him and building a relationship while he was still the DL coach at S. Carolina. The dynamics of his recruitment of McKinley may have changed due to Lindsey coming to LSU, but the groundwork for building the foundation of that relationship was previously laid. McKinley was Lindsey's first call once he made the change from S. Carolina to LSU and it was not an introductory phone call.

Texas will have an entirely new staff in 2 years.

Ok, so I used a lot of words to express a simple idea, so I'll try to summarize.

Texas and A&M have already both taken their best shots, and are pressing for an early commitments. Commitments that have yet to be forthcoming.

We are going to be getting I believe 4/5 of our top target's final visit. We will have a good idea as to what everybody else is offering from an NIL standpoint.

Getting the last opportunity to showcase everything LSU has to offer, I think, is going to be a huge factor in the final decisions these recruits make, and puts LSU in a fantastic position to win over their signatures.

Lastly, recruiting insiders really don't know any more than we do, with the only exception being they'll sometimes get word once the decision is made, but that is normally after the schools find out.

Agreed on that. The hell is downvoting this? As if they won’t. Sark can’t compete in the lowly Big 12, do those that downvote think he’ll build a viable contender in the SEC and keep his job? Texas and hell let’s throw the other two in here, in Oklahoma, and A&M, will be or currently are middle tier programs in the SEC and the recruits that are being bought by them now, will regret not signing with an LSU and dare I say Alabama or Georgia. Short term gain or long term development. Those programs are a mess. Hopefully McKinley and family will take LSU on and help Kelly build toward his national championship.
