Don't tell Arky that A&M won a conference title in 98 and that only 13 years ago. Not 20+ like them

Not many Ags put much faith in Rivals rankings. The second a recruit expresses interest in the longhorns their ranking goes up. When they commit to A&M their ranking goes down. If t.u. had such world-beater talent I'm not sure how they pulled off 5-7 last year. I'm not buying it ... are you?

alpha, in fairness Texas had lots of success the 10 years before that 5-7 season. But still, hoe does Texas with Muschamp at DC get trucked by K-St, Iowa St, UCLA, and Baylor? 3 of those home games!
But LSU understand rivals rankings. Bama gets the fluff rankings also compared to LSU.
Also, our 2 jucos don't have rankings yet.
Either way, Sherman has landed a large portion of his first choices and I'm happy with the class. I'd like to have Malcolm Brown, Santos and Devall. Brown isn't happening but the other two are possible

I will say it until I'm blue in the face. ATM will be irrelevant if they continue to get outrecruited by Texas & OU. It happens every year and there's always an excuse. You will win on occasion but continuous prosperity will not happen.

LSU, Alabama, & Florida are always up there. And imagine this, there always in contention. There is a huge difference between a top 10 class and a 16-20 class. There's a reason Illinois isn't winning the Big 10. Why? Because Ohio State always outrecruits them. This isn't hard to grasp.

He means that we recruit it as much as Texas because it's closer than a lot of Texas to campus. He isn't saying he dominates it.

He said that the day he was hired. He thinks Louisiana has some of the best athletes in the nation. LSU doesn't have room for all of them. It would be a mistake to not try and capitalize on that. Especially Shreveport, which is closer to College Station than Baton Rouge. To date, we have gotten a S/BC kid though. We just missed on Fobbs. And I wish him well at LSU. I never fault a kid staying in state
