Apparently he’s figured out how to sell ice to eskimos because they keep pulling 5* DL in spite of having bad to mediocre seasons year after year.

They are just spending millions more than everyone else. Hopefully NIL gets regulated before they get a good to great coach

Even if that is the case, that's a grind in and of itself, when LSU is just 40 miles down the road.
On a positive note, and take this for what it's worth, but apparently little brother is enamored with LSU.
They will make their own decisions, but I really believe when everything is put in to the calculus, both McKinley brother's will be Tigers.
It just might be that we have to sweat it out until December like a lot of folks think.
We will be ok with or without him, but I'd feel a whole lot better with him, obviously.
The kid has the best poker face I've ever seen on a recruit. He could be all Texas, or LSU, or anyone but everyone is just guessing. I've watched every interview out there, and you can't even really read anything more into what he says. Just stone faced. I don't get the feeling that he likes all this attention.

Who's this kid comparable to college or pro wise? Something seems off if he's not really giving LSU a serious look with the way Kelly is running the program. Is this kid one of those "can't miss" proven studs or a possible project?

Something is definitely off with his entire recruitment. People have just blamed it on him being shy but I can’t remember a kid this highly recruited from Louisiana who has been this distant with LSU. The kids who want to go out of state usually let the coaches know early. This kid just seems to tell everyone what they want to hear and is almost scared to tell anyone no.

Tackett wasn’t a 5 star and it was well known that he wasn’t coming to LSU pretty early due to the poor relationship with his high school coach and Many.
