Really that’s surprising to me, I thought just the opposite.
On the Malik Nabors comparison they are ranked similar. Malik destroyed his ranking hope Francis does likewise

Comparing any of these recruits to guys like JaMarr or Jarvis who are once in a decade types of talents is pretty wild to me.

Yap

Francis just doesn’t have much bend on film. He does some other things really well but I wonder if he just beats HS kids by out-physical’ing them. He will have to find other ways to win in the SEC

TaRon - 10.86 100 meters

Chase just didn't have good track coaching then, which matters a ton, because he is faster and twitchier in pads than TaRon. Ja'Marr ran a 4.38 at LSU pro day.

I think this kid will be great and has a similar build to Chase, but Chase is moving past the fastest guys in the NFL like they're wearing high heels.

Jamar Chase has football speed. He also always showed an ability to separate from anyone who was near him.

Hope Taron has the same traits.

Always like those guys that once they catch the ball, they almost turn into a physical RB trying to bring them down. Doesn't have to be blazing fast but fast enough to get to their spot, shed a linebacker physically and then CBs can catch up but will get dragged for a while before they can bring him down.

I think he is more of a Jarvis Landry than a Malik Nabors.

One thing that jumps out rewatching Chase's high school film is how smooth he is running and his body control. Every catch, cut, and burst looks effortless.

Rummel doesn’t have good track coaches? They did when I came up and had a track and everything.

Chase was a state champion long jumper. He never really practiced sprints.

nabers may have the best combination of size, strength, explosiveness, raw speed, and general movement skills of any WR in the entire NFL. If taron Francis was similar to that, he’d have been the 2025 class’s WR1 over dakorien moore.

The scouts miss way more than they hit on these recruits.
Nabers Rankings per recruiting sites:

Rivals 50th Wr overall
247 19th and 39th composite
On3 20th
ESPN 68th

Not even close. Doesn’t have the wiggle. Big body that can fly and high point. Will need some serious polishing on the route tree
