Just watched his senior film.

Seems like he's a guy we ought to think about picking up in the February signing period.

6-4 and 245 or 250, with the frame to carry 40 or 50 more pounds pretty easily.

Also plays basketball, and he's pretty good on the hardwood. There's a lot of athleticism there.

I'm not saying he ought to be a 5-star. But we do so well with the Lloyd Cushenberrys and Russell Gages and Justin Jeffersons that we get on late from in-state and we don't have a signing limit this year; a guy like this just seems like a good take for depth if nothing else.

Ditto for Matthew Fobbs-White who I brought up in the other thread.

Looks like Mizzou and Miss State.

See, I don't know why we'd let a guy like that go to Missouri when we don't have a signing limit and we need an extra body at defensive end or tackle.

Unless Kelly and Jamar Cain have somebody better hanging out there that we don't know about, which in that case would be fine.

The staff has to comfortable with where they sit with some guys. There doesn’t seem to be any desperation and they’re not reaching on kids. You’d think that’d be a positive sign that they do have a plan in place.

I’ve watched Tootie for 3 years, very strong, lined up all over the field to keep offenses from scheming around him. After getting feedback from scouts after his junior year, he transformed his body, lost the fat and now is all muscle. Very athletic, explosive on the basketball court with great footwork. Three guys from this area that I wish were Tigers, Tootie Collins, Marjavious Moss, Omarion Miller, all dynamic play makers.

Have you heard anything about where Omarion is expected to end up?

I’ve heard a lot of LSU talk, but I know Colorado has been in contact with him. Deion is making a push.

I feel like if LSU takes Aaron Anderson, then we are done at WR for this cycle

I read somewhere that Mizzou has made him a priority and that their entire coaching staff did an in home visit……if I was his coach I’d tell him to sign with Mizzou

Yeah, it's 85 scholarships.

We're going to be able to sign almost 40 guys against that limit this year.

And you aren't going to sign 40 4-star recruits. Some of these kids are going to be from the portal, and Kelly has already said that he doesn't want to pull massive numbers out of the portal; he'd rather go with a youth movement and play the long game.

So where does your depth come from if that's your strategy? The answer, obviously, is that you're going to take some unheralded developmental types and see how they do.

Because if you aren't going to do that then you're filling in with walkons.

And we aren't going to find a walkon who's on the level of an Ashley Williams, Michael Fobbs-White or Ta'Derius Collins. We just aren't.

This should definitely be emblazoned on the TD coat of arms!

I do know there is a portal DT at LSU this weekend. He’s a Louisiana boy that’s been at another SEC school.

I believe he has 3 years left to play. Spoke with his Dad yesterday, and I believe he commits next week.

I’m not giving away his name. It will come out next week.
