The offer is a redshirt freshman year.

No. LSU never even put feelers out (to kicking coaches or ranking services) for a 2025 kicker. Hopefully they are for a 2026. The best 2026 is from Louisiana and he’s at Georgia tonight. LSU can’t seem to get this right.

Lsu needs to get mcmahon back. He was great at identifying talent on special teams.

Special teams has been a bust this yr minus being able to field punts

Not even close. No one else on his high school team will play college football.

We see the snappers at camps (we’re in ATL for one tomorrow) and that is an impressive skill.

We don’t have a place for him unless rules change regarding analysts. We have 2 DL coaches and it’s hard to say they haven’t been the two best coaches on the staff this season. We aren’t getting rid of Peoples of Davis for a ST Coach.

He’s the 95th ranked kicker…looks like a walk on offer from McNeese.

Damn. Dude hit a 52 and 44 last night with ease. Every kickoff out the end zone.

95th isn’t bad. There are 300 colleges and the big kicking camps have 500 kickers. He’ll play college ball.

Kelly has under-recruited the hell out of kickers and DBs, and now it’s biting this team in the arse.

I saw the kicker at Acadiana High in Lafayette a few weeks ago. He seems to have a great leg, he puts all his kickoffs out of the end zone and actually hit one through the uprights. But he only kicked XPs in the game, all but one straight through the middle, and the one that wasn't was a bad snap and hold that he managed to power through anyway. albeit a wobbly line drive. His pops told me he had just received an offer from UL Lafayette but that was the top school he had heard from.

UL Lafayette probably puts their kicker in the pros this year, think he’s like 22 out of 24.

Be cool if Hernandez gets on a roster, needs to lose the block now though. Raw for a Sr…but he could make the field at some point as a KOS.

Thanks.

The kicker to watch, from Louisiana, in this class is Cooper Helmke from St Martin in Metairie. He’s a unit, 6’3” 180, that is very coachable. Calm, great kicker. He’s committed on scholarship to Boise State. If LSU ever gets in a pinch and needs to pay a ‘25 kicker out of the portal…it’s Cooper.

Cooper has been developing well. He is committed to Boise State but it is currently a PWO with the hope of earning a scholarship. He worked out for a few other schools this summer, including LSU.

Congrats on Florida, that is major!
