It would be cool for that whole training group to get together for one last camp before fall camps start.
Asher is very good. Looks like a lot of 2026's are cashing in on some early offers. Pretty talented class.
Hope he is enjoying it as well! Cooper is loving it, but it is kicking his you know what as well!! Is your boy making the Orlando Camp?
Gotta make prom(s), high school is ending, he needs to have fun!
Hopefully he can make Orlando. I know Cooper is looking forward to it.
Going to be an interesting CFB season watching all the boys competing and training!

They are working out on Saturday - I heard Ev could not make it, I know Cooper and some of the other guys were hoping to see him. Kicking with Grupe will be cool to watch. They have a camp Sunday as well.
Cooper is working hard - he is reporting on May 25 so its coming quick. May also send him to Buffalo for a week in April to get some more work in with Adam and Briggs.
Is Ev still making College Camp and working Top 40 in Orlando?

I do not believe he has eligibility remaining - but I am not positive. I think there will definitely be a good competition over summer at Tulane for PK and Kickoffs.
Three kickers right now for summer- Durkin, Marini, and Cooper. Could also see an add from the portal as well to get some experience. Will be interesting to watch how it works out.
Hope all is well with your son, I assume he is enrolling over the summer?

Really not sure. He is going to make his decision on committing soon. Have not yet entertained or signed any other agreements.
Thanks! Not the way we wanted it to go, but things happen. Nothing but positive things to say about Boise, they are great. Fielding some other offers now, pretty sure we know, but still in the process.
re: OK, how does LSU allow a Lafayette La kicker go to Ga

I am not sure what stats you are flying on. But you are definitely correct, there is a whole different story and process when evaluation kickers that most people are just not familiar with.
Thanks! Things have gotten a little crazy, ready for the process to be over. Hard to know what is right and wrong, or who is telling you the whole truth. CRAZY.
The truth is, most people are just unaware as to how kickers are properly developed and analyzed. Those involved in that process are well-aware of who has really performed and showed the skill and those who have not. Its NOT an insult to anyone its just the truth. Some schools cultivate special teams and consistently have top kickers, and some don't.
100% scholarship under that stuff with a redshirt year, definitely the right choice.

Kickers are recruited differently, from High School to camps they need to attend. Also, it seems that some schools (coaches) value them more as compared to other coaches and schools. If you look, there are teams that consistently have the best kickers.

Would seem to have made more sense to bring in a kicker to replace Ramos and handle FG duties since Ramos will be a senior. Burell is the KOS and will only be a sophomore. But, who knows?
Thanks! He is not signed yet, so we will see what happens!! Glad for that you are done with that process with your son, congrats!!
What about Ramos? He is on scholarship.
Not really sure what happened. Honestly, I do not know Sean Perret and have not seen him, so I can't say what his skill set is. I know Cooper worked out for LSU, went to some game visits, and was in touch with the staff. Like I said, stuff happens I guess.
He did not sign with Boise. Believe he was talking with LSU, but things happen I guess.
That is how I interpreted it as well. With HS football season over, the reality of him leaving high school and reporting to college is now his sole focus.
Thanks for the support of Cooper,. We have seen and learned a lot at those camps. Cooper really only started seriously kicking three years ago, and has been with the coaches for about a year - they have really helped develop him and the camps put you in situations where you have to perform.
Saw your son in Orlando and Gatlinburg, he has definitely earned the attention he has received, very accurate, consistent, unshakeable.
I agree that it is crazy that the whole process does come down to performing at that one time when you get it, but that is the job!

Kohls has it listed as a scholarship on their website but right now its PWO, just some confusion there. Cooper has really put a lot of work in trying to improve and has responded well to the coaching he has received.
Lots of talented specialists in the 2025 class!
