I suppose he didn't have any confidence in his own ability to help turn the LSU program in that direction. Took the easy road?

You will experience this more in next years class. Amite has a few highly rank players and Ole nicky has being hanging around the area lately. The wr smith from last year, that caught the winning td in the championship, will be in their ear. It's not gonna stop till the les miles syndrome is gone!

the school president is the problem. Alleva probably had Fisher, and Alleva got screwed. Of course, that doesn't excuse settling for a position coach.

The most ironic part of this is that Nick Saban traded Patrick Surtain Sr. to the Chiefs in 2006.

More like he didn't have any confidence in Ed Orgeron to turn the LSU program in that direction. BTW playing DB for Saban is anything but easy

Easy lol? You don't think Saban has these kids working their asses off in the weight room and practicing to perfection?

Saban had already awakened the sleeping giant that was LSU and won a national title.

And while I know everyone laughed at Bama and Saban for ULM, we all knew what was coming for Bama.

Please, point to the sleeping giant O awakened and won a national title at. Oh yeah, he was fired from OLE MISS.

You're attempt at making an apples to apples comparison between Saban and O are laughable. Just stop.

I'm not comparing O to saban.... the majority of the so called fans are. They forget that saban lost to ULM in what, his first year at bama? So O lost to Troy. The the Troy team the beat LSU was a hell of a lot better than the ULM team that beat bama that year.

That's exactly what you're doing right here:

You're trying to downplay O's loss to Troy by comparing it Saban's loss to ULM. But your point/comparison is fundamentally flawed because Saban and O are in different football universes.

I hate the man and Bama, but Saban has forgotten more about football than O has ever known.

Stop trying to draw a false equivalency between the two.

You can't really blame a kid or his parents if they did choose a school because they feel it is well run and the kid will benefit from his time there.

Personally, I don't think I would go or send my son to go to Bama under Saban if we had the kind of talent these kids have. But that's just because I don't much care for his personality type. On the other hand, I can't say the current culture or vibe around the LSU program would entice me much either.

No... and I'm not comparing the two coaches as they stand right now. Look at O's first full year hear and saban's at bama. Hell, even saban lost to UAB while coaching here. O is not on the level of saban, and I doubt he'll ever come close... but saban has had some WTF games that people forget about.

There's a reason Alleva couldn't keep his previous jobs. We had no business hiring him.
