Take it for what it's worth, but Shea Dixon has "reported" that Sullivan is expected to take to the road to recruit after tonight. That contradicts what Moscona has been reporting for a week or two. Couple that with the thread regarding McMahon.

Rabalais also said he wasn't recruiting. I doubt Sullivan will be tearing it up on the recruiting trail but they might send him somewhere since we already got publicly called out for out our septuagenarian position coaches not recruiting.

Moscona has a narrative that seems like the truth to him . I don’t think he’s intentionally trying to lie or anything. He just needs to adjust his narrative as the facts demand . Like the rest of us.

I think when Sullivan asked he said he wasn't a recruiter. That doesn't mean he won't recruit at all.

I see Sullivan watching film of recruits, making a few in person evals of the main targets and setting the board at the position. Sullivan makes the key inhome visits and really gives the pitch during officials.

Mickey Joseph probably handles most of the school visits and does the heavy lifting during the season.

His arse better recruit hard. WR coaches are typically one of the strongest recruiters on most staffs. We can't afford to have weak links in recruiting right now with Jimbo and Saban sandwiching the program now. Say what you will on how good Jimbo can coach but he's up there with Saban as the best recruiter in the country.

Matt’s point was mainly towards Sullivan being 73 years old. Being that old, I doubt he will be ‘tearing up the recruiting trail’.

Where Matt went wrong was basically saying that Sullivan wasn’t going to recruit at all. Which is obviously false. From reports on this board, it’s looking like he is the one who is reeling in Chase.

He knows his stuff, which will impress any wide receiver recruit. However, other D1 programs have experienced WR coaches as well AND can make more of a connection with an 18 year old kid.

I see Mickey Joseph picking up the slack here. We’ll be fine - LSU recruits itself.

Get that shite out of here man, we wont win a game next season!

Also surely you have read here this recruiting class is complete garbage, maybe 1 or 2 SEC level players.

Not from Geaux247, Sully is going to secure Chase.

Now, can Sully help land Palmer and Lee where there is plenty of work to be done.

Marshall
Chase
Palmer
Lee

Yeh, I could dig Sully coaching that group.

That Sullivan did not want to recruit and was not going to be asked to do so. Looks like Matt was dead wrong on this one.

When Moscona stated that Sullivan wasn't going to be required to recruit, he made it sound like he had spoken to an insider about it. It now appears he was talking out of his butt and assuming it.

TL said Chase moved to LSU with Marshal’s commitment. I’ll take his word.

Who knows. Maybe Marshall, Chase and Brennan can give us an OBJ, Landry, Mett type trio.

I'll take it.

Don’t think Marshall had that much impact on Chase. I think it helps, but that TL Guy seems to embellish from time to time
