“Me and Malachi have a real good relationship and we text a lot,” he said. “We don’t really touch on recruiting too much. It’s really just what guys do where we talk about normal things boys our age talk about. Me and Leonard (Fournette) have a good relationship and I’ve gotten pretty close to Nick Brossette too. And, of course, me and Trey have a real good relationship. I was glad I got to meet and hang out with Speedy and Gerald this weekend. It’s crazy how good this class is and how bright the future of LSU football is with all of us.”

That right there is what I hope these kids realize.
LSU is the only school in which all of these guys will be able to play on the same team. The extra bonus is that most will be able to rep their own state in the process.
They are all young men and have no idea right now just how rare this opportunity is...how rare it is to have this much talent (like multiple 1st round picks) out of the same state that could play at the same school.
Years from now when their professional careers are over, they have the opportunity to look back and what an exceedingly rare occurrence took place on their watch at Louisiana State University.
I hope someone creates a documentary (30 for 30 style) about this special year in Louisiana and LSU recruiting after they win a couple of national titles and go on to NFL fame and fortune.

I thought so awhile back but not anymore.
Lf and GWIII seem to be the only ones that are wanting to announce during the games.
Hootie will announce before
Dupre and Young on NSD
Speedy claimed a week or two ago he was wanting to announce prior to Jan but after his season. I guess that could change.

A month or two back, I'd agree, but now that he has his date set, I think he knows.

The U had Coach Howard S recruiting 'the state of Miami.' Coach Miles and Coach Wilson have a ton of talent in 'the state of NOLA' between Karr, St. Aug, and Curtis.

Many of these guys have been playing against each other for years and know how good each is. I really think they want to play together finally and win championships for the home state. Mix that with the oos recruits like Garrett and Jackson and D-line will be sucking dick cuz we will have 9 5stars!

No, meant what I said. Name D-line said he would suck a dick if we sign 9 5stars in this years class. Hope he's prepared!

you mean
"the poster D-line will be sucking dick because LSU signed 9 5* star recruits"
you original post read like this
"the LSU D-line will be sucking lots of dick because they are all 5*!"

Is there any other state in the country that folks have this much built-in pride in their state? Yea, yea, I know the ones that leave, yada yada, but even they talk about reppin' their state even though they're confused as to the best way of doing that. Dat Boot!!
Posted on 10/16/13 at 2:42 pm to Ironhead985
It really helps that LSU has no legitimate in-state competition for recruits.
