If this is what college athletics is becoming than I hope it all burns to the ground
Tuition isn’t cheap for anyone
Nil was never supposed to be a handout
It was to capitalize on your name image and likeness
It was to make money from your autograph or jersey sold or partnering with local or national brands
It wasn’t to get $50000 to millions to show up and play

Yes get with the times! Whether or not you agree or disagree it’s how you get the top recruits. So if you don’t care about that why be here typing or even be a fan! Oh and those asking if I donate yes I do and have for over 20 years!

I love a lot of things I’m not going to go piss my money away to some dumb kid who is just trying to extort money to play football. Put money in investments for your own kids or yourself. These spoiled college athletes will be millionaires one day or at very least have a free ride to a free degree if they want to get one. That’s plenty enough. If some rich hedge fund manager or lawyer wants to give them money then so be it, I think it’s all stupid as hell. Make the schools pay them their selves they are the ones making money off them not us average joes. We are donating our money through going to the games and spending money. They could make certain LSU merchandise sales go to athletes where buying something goes to players. But blindly donating money is just ridiculous.

I am not a business, much less anyone or entity that would benefit from NIL (NAME, IMAGE, and LIKENESS). I surely wouldn't give money to some entity to distribute my money as they seem fit, lol. And there is NO ROI, as they aren't providing any NIL to anyone who isn't a business, which those are few and far between.

And, what happens when someone decides they want to go elsewhere next year or sit out a game.

No Thanks.

you sound butthurt.

TV profit sharing would be the way to go instead of NIL. Chip Kelly broke it down well

Yeah it’s all pretty dumb for an average fan just to throw money away.

Nope just not a fricking idiot throwing money into some NIL fund for kids who haven’t proved anything. Point of NIL was for kids to make money off their Name Image an Likeness while enrolled in school, not hold schools hostage, and have fans out here passing around offering plates begging them to come play here.

Or I could just watch football and not donate my money to some 18 year old kid who has proved nothing.

All of you that make comments about NIL but don’t put up a dime to help LSU pull these players should just shut up!!

Why? What an insanely stupid comment. You can have opinions and your net worth doesn't make them more valuable. If anything we should be pushing for directly paying players. So schools aren't reliant on such nonsense.

Some people have disposable income. Most people do not, it does not make someone more of a fan or less of a fan by giving money.
But people with money are free to do it as a please.

This post is pointless. No one with the amount of disposable income to contribute to NIL has the time to waste on Tiger droppings.

And the school has control instead of these "collectives" which have no rules or literally making shite up as they go. It only make sense

Considering the complete shite show that LSU athletics has been in the last decade or so, this isn’t a good thing.

if every season ticket holder gave $10 minimum that would be almost 500k - thats one elite non QB or a couple good ones

If everyone in tiger stadium on a sat night minus children gave $10 it would be almost a million

Part of the reason Ole Miss collective is so successful is because they have a bunch of small time donors

1. Link to the Collective
2. Show us your donation
3. Don't assume that we neither have money nor are willing to spend it.

Kelly has made it abundantly clear, right or wrong, that he will NOT pay mercenaries the $ for just showing up. Players have to buy into the Alignment
