Instead of crapping on processed players or crapping on O, is it possible for us to be happy? If we are telling recruits to look elsewhere our coaches much feel pretty locked in with bigger fish.

If O swings and misses on the 16th, then we riot.

We had a top 5 class. They really just struck out on one guy, Burch. McKinnley Jackson was always a longshot.

Lmfao this never works in our favor. For all the times we've pushed out high quality commits, we NEVER wind up getting the elite guys we push them out for. Not only do we never get those elite guys after pushing out good player, but we push out good players (in the misguided hope of landing elite players) nearly every season.

Edit: also, to all the people saying "wElL We StIlL hAvE a ToP 5 cLaSs!!1! wHy R u WhInInG??!?!?1"...There's at LEAST one full tier between a first ranked class and a fifth ranked class. If you bring in a 5th ranked class, you either need a transcedent coaching staff or a transcendent quarterback (or both) to win a championship. In the SECW, you need a transcendent QB *and* a transcendent coaching staff just to make the playoff.

Orgeron is our HC for two reasons and two reason only: to recruit and to hire an elite coaching staff. Jury is out on both of those things. He could prove capable of both between now and next season...or he could prove capable of neither. The fact is that we need an elite finish to this 2021 class.

Now I'll go ahead and take my downvotes from the sunshine pumpers

Major burns, jermaine burton (left at the altar), rakim Jarrett (left at the altar),

I'm just saying O processes alot of kids. I get every program does but seems we don't have any big fish to replace like they claim.

lolwut. We missed on Burch after pushing out the DE that went to florida. We pushed out Major Burns and missed out on whoever we wanted to replace him with. We got left at the alter with rakim jarrett. we got left at the altar by jermaine burton. This is all just last year.

This could be one of the dumbest things I've ever seen on this board.

If you avg 5th in recruiting over a 4 year span you absolutely have the talent to win a NC with just a good QB and a good coach.

Recruiting is not exact science and some positions are more important than others
Attrition of current players also makes a difference

I also thought missing on Jalen Lee was a huge mistake. Hope he has a great college career at Fla. Time will tell.

You people are such whiners. Y’all whine about every little thing. Do y’all even understand how unprecedented this season has been?

I swear y’all don’t remember very well. We push players out every year? We only had enough momentum to even try to do that last year and a lot of the reason for that was because of idiots like you saying the most ignorant arse things like you’re doing now.

Our own fans helped slow the recruiting momentum we may have had if they would have given O a chance to start with. He improved each year and then finally all things came together last year. This year LSU lost a historic amount of players in the draft alone, not counting what we lost because of Covid. Then we lose our starting QB and have to play freshman early.

We are finally recruiting the QB position with some consistency and here y’all are, losing your minds, because things didn’t go the way you wanted or thought it might. I had high hopes also but I realize that lots of unprecedented things happened to this team. It’ll come back around, geez.

This would be fine, but it appears O walks around with his head up his arse about 75% of the time so its kind of hard to trust he knows what he is doing.
