Doesn't seem like LSU has pressed for him as hard and are watching how he develops throughout the year.

I think the kid is legit after watching him. Easily the best player on the field when I watched LCA play Acadiana and Acadiana has two players with LSU offers

I'm very interested to see what direction we go in recruiting now that we have a DL coach. Outside of McKinley and possibly Johnson from westgate, it seems like there's very few obvious guys on our radar.

I found myself sitting with his uncles at most of the LCA games my son and I went to this season. They know the game pretty well and say he really hasn't hit his stride yet, needs to be a bit more purposeful in developing his game. They say he relies a little too much on his size and strength and not as much technique. But from what I can tell they all push him to work hard and pursue his potential.

And they are a hell of a lot of fun to watch a game with. He's that big man-child sort of kid, from what they say. I know they would love to see him close to home.

Given the absolutely DIRE need for IDL right now, I've gotta assume that we'd be all over this kid if we even thought he was remotely decent

Tbf this scouting report is applicable to probably like 90% of high-end defensive linemen all the way from HS up to the NFL draft. Seriously, outside of guys who are like top 5 overall NFL draft picks (and even those guys too a lot of times), damn near every first round DL's scouting report says "good size, strength, and athleticism, but needs to refine his pass-rush technique"

Yeah, Aquatic, I’m a little miffed at us not pursuing him since he’s in our backyard.

We've already taken our borderline instate DL in Breaux who keeps getting bigger and bigger. We can't demand the staff take/chase the best in the country and also criticize them for not taking every instate kid some fan thinks is good enough. Not to say Hills isn't good enough but the staff have preferences and they can't take everyone. I'm not high on Breaux but who am I to question the guys getting paid to make those decisions?

He moves more like an OL prospect to me. Little tight in lower body.
