re: Spenser Sanders to Ole Miss

So he is going to essentially the exact same position at lsu?

I agree. LSU played Howard, Nuss and Brennan by bringing in Daniels. Howard had to sit his year, Brennan retired. All incoming QB's should take notice of all D1 programs and what the portal offers Head Coaches who want instant results.

Sanders has one year of eligibility left. Walker wasn’t playing in Baton Rouge in 2023 anyway. This is a non-story.

Not really.
JD5 in 2023, then Nuss in 24 and probably 2025. Not many QBs can do a one-and-done jump to the NFL. Dart already has a year of starting so it’s more conceivable that he’d leave after 2023.
ETA: Dart has 1.5 years of starting experience already.

If Dart leaves , ole piss will be in deep trouble with a backup with no experience.

Im not one of those ppl that freaks out about freshman qbs but he transferred because he wasn't getting 2nd team reps at LSU next year. He left and ended up with the exact same situation. A fifth year guy and a guy with way more experience sitting in front of him.

Meaning he was behind Nuss and Nuss is going to be here a while still.

This. I don't know why everybody is insinuating that Dart is transferring. He can't, at least not without sitting. I also don't think it is a lay up that WH beats out Dart. He very well might be 3rd string again.
I agree, Walker has very limited playing time and is in a new system. He is gonna have a harder time passing up a QB that started all last year.

quote:You're reading too much into that. That at best means a competition. You do realize the 2 QBs he brought in are transfers also. One has absolutely zero experience and doesn't look ready at all, and the other had the same problem as Dart, but he's had that problem for 4 years starting.
According to Lane
He wasn’t happy with the passing game last season. Call it buyers remorse with Dart
Now he is fixing that
There is a possibility of Sanders starting, but if he falters at all the QB coming in will be Dart. Dart is not going to sit out a another year somewhere else

Nobody played anyone every team will try to bring in best QBs to compete. After Daniels leave dnt think LSU will just hand off to Nuss. I'm expecting Transfer to come in but I still think Nuss will win it. You still need another QB in room and transfer with experience would be good.

Maybe - and I'm just spitballing here - Walker Howard just isn't all that smart.
He didn't get assurances that he was the only QB coming in, and he let Kiffin play him.
Spencer Sanders isn't better than Dart, btw.

Howard is looking at 2024, not 2023.

Might be a Grad by now. And there's always some kind of bullshite reason to apply for a waiver.

Because Howard has shown he’s so much better than Dart. Lolololol

Currently, yes he is. Coukd Howard get better? Sure but as it stands right now if you told me I had to start one of those QBs today, I’m going with Dart all day everyday and so would every college coach.

Smart move by Howard. He will start in 2024
You know this how? He keeps playing like he did at LSU and he won’t even be starting at Holmes Junior.

According to what? Lane recruited Dart to Ole miss
This is all ipodking just hoping in desperation that BK made a big mistake in letting Howard go and nothing more. He has a personal issue with BK for some reason (my guess is iPod is jealous of anyone with an IQ above 80).

I mean, that’s just not true obviously. At this rate, it’s looking unlikely that Howard will see the field any quicker at Ole Miss than he would have at LSU. The appearance is that he got played.

He never said it was Dart (it wasn’t). He just had limited receivers (and anyone with a brain who actually watched Ole Miss will tell you they had no serious play makers at receiver) and great running backs. Of course the passing game wasn’t going to shine and Lane is just a fricking idiot who should never be in charge of a program.
