bullshite. Our staff knew he was already signed. Bama made sure there would be no counter. If a source is saying that it's just to try to calm the masses about our unwillingness to play ball with the big boys.

Oh, then please post the links that show LSU offered more than Bama. Please include the prices that each side offered. Please included any inside info since there have been 500 Ricks threads started and nobody has given any evidence.

The number I was told was about $250K. I'm not sure if that was per season, per game, a signing bonus, but LSU matched what he got from Bama, and he chose Bama anyway.
I can't source you what I was told with links, but I'm not an insider, I don't know anybody at LSU or within the program and this is what was said in a few conversations I've had. It's going around or coming from somewhere. I know that part of it was said on AFR, but I had heard it before Moscona even said it on air.

The LSU NIL money people made Ricks the #1 priority. I can confirm what the OP said. Money want the only factor in Ricks choosing Bama. The NIL offer was as good as Bama’s. He choose Saban over Kelly in the end. It sucks but it is what it is.
This isn’t Coach Kelly’s fault. The staff put a tremendous amount of time and effort into this kid’s recruitment. As bad as the fans feel they fell 100 times worse.

You don’t know this. Maybe LSU stepped up and offered more than Bama at one point, but you don’t know what Bama’s final offer was.

You can’t confirm what he said because y’all aren’t insiders and y’all have no clue what went on. Again, I have no connections but I do have a brain. We 100% needed a corner, Ricks would have been the highest rated recruit in our class and we all saw the pictures of LSU going all out for him. From that info I can deduce that we had a huge nil package but he still picked Bama.
