Damn…
Do we know if he’s coming to LSU’s pool party this month?

We can't let him go to Texas. Just can't.

Seems like Wardell Mack didn’t visit LSU a lot like I thought he would.

He’s a very good player. We already have 3 cb commitments. It’s going to be tough to land a few of these guys now. I think when the season starts and we’re kicking arse it will change the Louisiana players minds.

Money talks…I don’t know how we compete with the money of Texas, aTm, Bama and other schools with a far wealthier donor base other than being really good at developing players and identifying talent early. I think we could field a good starting group but where we will get hit the hardest is in our depth.

The only thing that makes sense here is the money and Texas showing him that they’re prepared to buy a class like aTm did a few years ago. Texas hasn’t proved they can develop players or even play at a high level, I’ll say it again, the only thing that makes sense is the money.

Insiders don't know anything. LSU insiders definitely don't know anything. NIL makes everyone clueless. That's why he's still leaving the door open for LSU.

Texas throwing big money like A&M did. Also they only have 1 CB committed currently, I'm sure they have sold him some dream. They trying to stockpile talent before entering SEC next year. Doesn't mean they can develop them at all. All these summer commitments can change they mind by December.

If Texas doesn't win that weak arse Big12 this year watch out.

Long way til December. I wouldn’t get too excited or down about anything happening in college football recruiting in early July but that’s just me

Yeap that's why I'm not worried at all. All the sports cars, party's,and flash stuff at these summer recruiting get together. It all fades away once the season kicks in.

Maybe they are today but unlike in the past, their recruitment isn’t over until they’re gone off to the NFL or their eligibility has run out. Texas has to prove they can do something with them once they get on campus. They haven’t been able to develop talent since Mack Brown left.

Yea it does. Momentum in college football recruiting changes daily and I’ve seen too many kids commit to a school and give no indication of a flip until they just sign with someone else on signing day to worry about where a kid is leaning in July.

It’s all interesting discussion but it’s really meaningless at this stage. Too much can happen between now and signing day to make broad statements about what a class will end up like good or bad

Yeah way to early to know what classes will end like.

If they land him they’ll have landed the top 2 dbs in Louisiana’s classes the last 2 seasons.

With DBU an option for them…

Pretty damn inexcusable IMO.

We talk about how Texas won't let guys like Simmons leave the state. But then they reach into Louisiana and take the top guys that we apparently can't keep in the state.

No one player (other than maybe an elite QB) is going to make or break a class or program. But losing multiple elite guys over the years will add up and affect a program years down the line.

But our staff knows what they are doing and will develop players better than anyone else.Even the teams that are getting the high rank players.
Didn't you know LSU is the only one who can develop players?

Sarcasm intended

Particularly if we can't offset those losses with comparable OOS talent at the same position. The nail's not in the coffin for this class but the hammer and nail are being prepared for pounding.

Nope it's about getting the right player. Isn't that the model for recruiting.
Pass on the really high player who may not be great at academics but get the lower rank player who is great all around.

He is recruiting with the Notre Dame mindset.Except he isn't at Notre Dame anymore.
