Someone please update about the recent Sop’s drama?

-Ish isn't as good as advertised when put up against better athletes. Probably has potential, but is it worth waiting to find out?

-Rodney got put into 2020 class so the whole "the college I go to will be getting 2 brothers" deal is pretty much dead.

I did hear that the last weekend before NSD may be huge for us.

I might be a literal idiot and I’m 28 so I haven’t been 18 in a while...but with bama having that many lineman signed as oppose to our 2 why tf would someone want to go with all of that competition on top of Raekwaon Davis and the projected starting DL for bama? I mean money, cars and hoes right?

Bama would love to sign Young.

My optimism stems from my belief that Bama already has 3 SDE in this class including an absolute beast in Alfano. Ish is reported to be a silent Bama commit so he makes 4.

I don’t think Young wants to be the 5th SDE for a team.

If Bama can sign both Ish and Young then we might as well not even field a team. It would be that ridiculous.

If we were to end up with Ish, Young and Moore I’m pretty sure O would rip off his shirt and run around campus screaming like a madman. Don’t look for it though. Best guess we get one of those guys but there is a real possibility we get none. As long as that happens we will continue to be 2nd best in the West. You’d think with Alfano going to Bama the other guys would want to go somewhere they have a chance to play because Alfano will start from day one.

Bama wants Young as a nose guard. Bama has very little depth there.

We can. We won't. Don't sell short the money behind LSU. We've just got gun-shy money men or those that would make it happen. No doubt we dabble in the "dark" side of recruiting but we cant match Bamas level because of fear, not money. That's our bad.

Young is not wanted by Bama as a NT. Get out of here with that. Sopsher is a nose before Young.

As far as the Ish, Rodney development. If it seals the deal to Bama then so be it. I'm not a huge fan of Ish, not a hater of him, understand the "need" for him in terms of both physical need and perceptional need, understand if we lose him, it is a blow. Not a fan of the Rodney inclusion but not completely against it.

All that said, when it comes down to it, Ish wants to be at Bama. It's clear and it's been clear. Sure we all want him, out front or deep down, we're fans, but if that's where the kid wants to be then that's ok with me. I've always felt the whole Rodney saga was a family decision not an Ish decision. No matter how we discuss him the fact is that Ish is a child in some form. I learned early, as have many others, dad is boss. You go along with the family decision because Dad says so. Not gonna fault the kid for that. If his heart is at Bama then let him be. Staff just better land one of those MS boys or Fuller. Can't go blank.
