You can bash this kid all you want but how do you explain the top 4 of 5 players in the state going elsewhere this year. Is that a Gerry DiNardo type of thing happening? I'm not saying we are headed for those days at all but don't bury your head in the sand.

We will fall to probably 3rd or 4th in our own conference with this recruiting class. It's only one class but Les has enough talent to get him through this year but what will the future hold?

this part right here is absolutely ridiculous and assanine

Correction we are now 5th in our conference with Texas A&M pulling ahead of us. Keep it rollin' Les.

I asked Toshiro if anything happened recently that moved him off LSU: "yeah. My coach got fired & got put on Tejas' payroll, and I'm easily influenced."

Reality is Chavis, Brick, Cooper and of course, Moffitt have bailed Miles out of the hot seat over the last 2 years.

Without that crew, he might be unemployed. Miles owes his D and conditioning coaches at least half of his paycheck.

His inept game prepartion, coaching and refusal to do everything possible to win the BCSNC game is having negative impact. And it really does not matter, the guy is here for the next 7 years unless he dumps a couple of losing seasons in a row, which is not going to happen anytime soon.

Decent class but not great. Support the new Tigers. You never know how they will develop.

The whole Lee/Jefferson thing and the bad "showing" in the NC game had to hurt some in recruiting. Les set himself up for this, maybe he'll learn from it but I doubt it. Class is still top 15, but if the program is what most of you say it is then nothing short of top 3 class could be acceptable.

Your inability to give clm any credit whatsoever weakens any criticism you have. And, it makes you look like an arse.

The first 13 games of this season buuuuurned, didn't they?

Same can be said about every head coach at every major program.

You think Brown at Texas does everything at Texas? Think Saban does everything at Bama?
Successful programs have good assistants and a CEO as a HC.

Only negative impact af the NCG was probably T.Davis. LSU will still be preseaosn top3, finishing with a top 10 recruiting class, and is set up for a NC run in 2012.

disagree. I think this is a very good class. We have #1 OLB in the nation prior to him getting hurt, we got a top 5 WR in the nation prior to him getting hurt, and we filled every hole we had.

But, of course Les gets no credit for hiring these guys or for winning 13 games last year, haha

Paulu is awful. I don't even know why he even pays attention to lsu football because he hates it so much.

Have you ever seen anyone like Paulu that hates success and winning as much as he does?

I agree that criticism is okay at this point. But you also have to take in account that this is a really good class that we have. All these people are jumping on here saying that it is such an awful recruiting year is bullshite.
I think you have to put it in perspective. You are a newbie here. LSU is used to now having FANTASTIC top 5 recruiting classes. So, relatively speaking, this class IS a disappointment. It doesn't mean LSU sucks or an individual kid sucks but overall the general mood of things sucks right now because we are under achieving when we are used to over achieving. Top that with the fact that we were 13-1 and played in the NC game and the amount of disrespect we are getting from media and recruits, to me is a bad signal.

I can't disagree with your post. I understand why people are upset. I just feel that the guys we missed out on is because of circumstances beyond lsu and the coaches control. (other than Davis)

Hopefully we pick things up next year in recruiting again.

He's probably already gotten the word that Saban will be the Texas coach in 2013 - he's just beating the rush.

All the blame for one loss and none of the credit for 13 wins and a conference title. Not surprising coming from a terrible lsu fan like yourself. That's what we expect from you Paulu. Must suck to hate success as much as you.

Interesting trend. All the charter members of TeamSwag blasting anyone suggesting that the LM/JJ Brokeback Bayou final episode on January 9 might have at least a little to do with the recruits bailing. Direct correlation. Don't even need a spreadsheet for this one.

All you guys that Blow Miles - ask yourself if his former college program would even take him back over their current coach .....
