a certain segment of any cfb fanbase will always act childish when a talented kid doesn't want to play for their favorite team. The same percentage will likely boo the kid if he performs poorly. It is what it is.

This is huge news Storm. Cam Cameron makes too much money for what is going on at LSU. If we get Franks, then he gets a pass if not? Fire him and give Chavis his salary.

O I almost forgot A&m already did this.

We have won with OOS Qbs and if we need to get more, so be it.

Not related....but close to the family. Great family and a great kid. I'm an LSU fan who would love to see him in Purple and Gold but I also see the draw to ole miss for him. Shea Patterson is an awesome kid and has done nothing for some people to talk shite to him or say he has no chest....he didn't make this a big deal or circus. Media and fans did. He's the hardest working high school QB I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of em. I hope a year from now things change and he is signing with the tigers but if not Im still a Patterson fan and will cheer for him all season until he plays my tigers. Then he will just have to be tiger bait lol

Not entirely true, but let me state that I don't have any resentment towards Patterson. The whole thing about his recruitment is how he is using his signature to leverge his brother's career seems a bit selfish to me. If your brother does not deserve or has not earned the position he is using his commitment to get him why does that not warrant the chest comments people have been making? A young man should learn real quick that you have to earn your own position in life grind for what you are aspiring for. His brother is not setting that example for him. He would jeopardize the development of his teammates just so his brother can get a position he didn't earn?

Ok.... Now what about after college? You would think a QB his caliber would think about that. OM surly doesn't pump out NFL QBs..... LSU has produced NFL QBs and some only started one or two seasons?? Idk why a real quality QB can't see this and want to work with Cam and LSU for a couple years and who's to say he isn't the one that takes the starting job away from all of em? You never know and these guys need to start looking at these things. Not just who can I put up the biggest numbers with and start right away but who can prepare me as an NFL star QB? We have the OC that has worked with some of the best in the NFL and he's a proven teacher. Jennings isn't the talent that BH is but maybe more mature and who knows what Franks and Patterson turn out to be but LSU better make them all priority until someone proves themselves. If Patterson thinks he can go in and start day one for OM and not look like a freshman hes in for a rude awakening. These kids need time to develop and that's what he would do if he came to LSU DEVELOP. It's the depth we need and should have been going after, it's the perfect oppertunity for both parties. Hope Shea can see further than a lot of kids his age!!! GT

Worse case for Shea is he would sit behind either Franks or BH for a couple years he redshirts and gets to play for a year or 2 and be totally prepared to do so. Almost surly getting him a first round selection and Millions of bucks and possibly play and win championships. I can assure you his chances of both are much greater here at LSU than at OM.

Did Shea ever say "whoever pays my brother the most or gives him a better job that's where I'm going?" No....he said ONE time that it would be cool to play for his brother. His brother has been his coach his whole life. It's media and fans that have said whoever gets Sean will get Shea. Shea isn't to blame for that....show me where Shea has repeatedly pushed colleges to hire Sean or anything for that matter...I'll wait. You won't find anything I promise. Media and fans made this a circus not Shea...

As for the other comment I agree with you. If I was a QB I would want to learn under Cam and play in tiger stadium an all that but kids these days want to play as soon as possible. Most kids choose now a days on where they will play quickest. Like I said I wish he would be in purple and gold when it's all said an done and a lot can happen in a year. Ole miss could lose 6 games and his brother never get hired or get hired an let go within a year. I know LSU shouldn't give up on. I'd send orgeron to his house....his dad would love him. Lol

It's pretty simple. Ole Miss wanted him more and was willing to offer his brother a real job. LSU wasn't. All this other stuff is just bs. That's why he goes there, IF he goes. Even after tomorrow, there is a full year to go....shite happens.

I don't blame Shea as much as I do his family. You have one son who from all accounts worked his butt of to develop his skills and earn national attention and you have an older son who is looking for a hand out. I can't speak to what is said when Shea talks to coaches at LSU or Ole Miss but to think that because Shea said that he wanted to play ball with his brother in some interview was the only time this has been conveyed is naive. LSU tipped their hand to early they offer Sean a job shortly after it was know Shea wanted to play under his brother. It just sucks to lose a kid to Ole Miss. Its one thing to lose top players in the state to bama but to Ole Miss is just unbelievable.

I'm sure Shea is a good kid, but if he goes to ole piss, good riddance. He is tiger bait. I always tell myself I won't read Shea Patterson threads and I do it anyway and end up pissed off. It pisses me off that people act like we're doomed if we dont get him. If he goes play for the rebels(isn't that offensive), I hope arden key greets him in the meanest way possible in 2 years. I am ecstatic we are getting franks. He committed early and didn't need a parade to do it(love those kinds of kids). Now that I have spewed my venom, go tigers!
