The story I heard was that Wooten had as a contingency for his commitment that LSU hire the guy who announced his high school games "Wooten de bawwl cawwier" as the announcer for Tiger stadium. We said no dice and he walked.

The bad PR regarding Miles and the LSU fanbase

If you really beleive this shite you are a great example of a bad fanbase.
Thanks for perpetuating a myth.

Miami was the "hot program" Friday night. After their blowout loss to VT, not so much.

As long as LSU has a football program, most recruits will want to play for us and represent the state. That is fact.

Wow. Fact, huh?

If lsu beats georgia this week the lsu florida game will be by far biggest game of year and the networks and espn will give us at least ten million plus in hype and advertising. As long as we play well and don't lose more than 5 games we will gain recruits noty lose. Kids want to play for nc when they are starters not now. They want program on the upswing I agree 100 percent. But they don't really give rats arse what you or me thinks of hc. If you lived in bama you would see he gets lots of bad press too. Also probation fears are real. Kiffen will have ut on serois probation with three years as ut is already targeted by ncaa. Do not be a negastiger yet. If we beat uga will be ok I think

That's a moronic, pessimistic and damaging post. You must be a Bama fan in disguise. You sure as hell sound like one.

The problem is.. he's absolutely right. We'll get the bulk of the in-state kids.. but every season is vital to this programs success in recruiting.

nope he's correct, and no one is slamming the players, its the coach. He can only coach half a team. He wasted the fans and players entire season last year when he knew those 2 coaches were not working. He has grown a little arrogant and hard headed. He loses 5 this year, hasta la vista.

We will start to see a slow erosion in recruiting with this next class we sign. The bad PR regarding Miles and the LSU fanbase coupled with the mediocre product being seen on the field will begin to have an effect. The stud blue chippers want to play for the hot program and coach and right now that is Saban, Meyer and I would even throw Kiffin in there. The perception of Miles is becoming reality in the eyes of many of these blue chippers. LSU is not the sexy program it has been the last few years and with the 4-5 losses we see this year will be further tarnished in the eyes of these kids. It is just human nature

Damn dude, you're worse than a troll. No true fan would dare make a post like that on the recruiting board of all places knowing these guys read this.

genuineLSUtiger, you think you know everything, don't you. your post has absolutely nothing to do with Wooten. you speak of the future as if you know what will happen. what an idiot. you don't know shite.

I remember when Wooten committed to LSU, all of the Georgia insiders and some of the LSU guys were confused. He was expected to go to UGA and a few weeks later, he made the switch. There's really no reason to read too much more into any of this unless one has an agenda.

The sky is falling again, even as we stand in the midst of another great recruiting class. Run for your lives!

#4 s not "HOT".

If you travel to see lSU play buy the local papers and you'll see how every team has bad press and negative fans. And they all think they are the only team with negative fans.

People need to wake up and realize we have a good coach. It like if fans say it enough they actually believe it.

People talk about us just winnig off of talent, but recruiting is a part of coaching. What about turning Lafell and Black into first rounders? He could have easily buried Lafell back in the day when he seemed to drop the ball every damn pass. He let him come back and now he is a solid projection for playing on Sundays.
