I know we want Leigh.

The Harvard OL Transfer.

How many spots are left?

What is this boards realistic projection.

Wilson
Moko
Gilbert

If we miss on moko we likely look for another transfer OL, LB, S

Possibly take Brian Thomas Jr if his dad stops asking for 300k

with Savion Jones and Kimo committed, we have 3 remaining spots.

Possibilities: T Leigh, B Thomas Jr are the highest rated but according to many experts - not likely

J. Monko, J Gilbert, E Wilson, and L Diggs have all been recruited by the Tigers.

My guess: E Wilson, J Gilbert and save a spot for a transfer at a later date.

If Leigh commits to the Tigers, then its a game changer and we may hold 2 spots for future transfers.

Nothing against the kid, but I hope we don’t go this route. We need to build numbers back on the roster. When you’re limited to 25 per year you just can’t afford to sign one-year players.

High school players can be one year as well. Happens every year.

Signing a guaranteed starter, even if for one year, is a good use of scholarships.

It can be, but this is a guaranteed one year player. We need numbers and you’ll never catch up like this.

He’s listed as a senior for 2020. How would he get two years?

I agree in theory. In a perfect world, you would never take transfers.

But when you have a roster hole, a plug-in starter is often the best option.

LSU needs to rebound in a big way next year. Scholarship numbers down the road are irrelevant if LSU sucks again.

He only played in 2 games as a freshman. He could use that as a redshirt year if he wants.

New redshirt rule went into effect for 2018 season. He’s a one-year transfer as far as I can see.

Perhaps. Depends if it was injury related. I agree that he’s probably a 1 year player.

If Deculus and Ingram both leave Wilson becomes more of a priority.

Wilson, Gilbert and Moko might be the most likely scenario but the door is still open for Leigh, Thomas and Foreman.

Wilson is a difference maker day 1. You absolutely take him, likely helps win an extra game next year if we land him

In his own words from 2 weeks ago when he committed to Auburn he has one. Now he hasn’t used a redshirt so he would have two to play one.

quote:

“Really, in this one year, because I’m only a grad transfer for one year, it was the coaches,” Wilson said. “It’s not like I’m committing to being in a program for four years. I’m committing to these relationships with these people.”

In his final year of eligibility, the one thing he’s looking for is the person and the program who can elevate his game to the next level so he can potentially realize his NFL dreams.

I have a theory on Foreman. If he was leaning LSU and Mason was putting it out there that they were playing together then January 2nd would be anticlimactic.

Everyone says he is gone. I've seen all the experts wrong, Arik Gilbert. I've seen Coach O wrong more than once. Voltiger has been wrong more than once. I certainly don't expect it but it's 2021 and I need some fresh new things to be disappointed about.
