The funny thing about Rakim was he was all over IG saying you gotta be able to trust your coaches they lied to me blah blah blah, when in reality he was mad HE got caught in a lie and we weren't dealing with that

If Vol is just repeating what is on pay sites and he is more wrong than right, why would I want to join a pay site and spend money on info that is more wrong than right. I'd rather get it from an "insider" for free. But that's just me.

Just take it or leave it. I personally enjoyed his input. We all know things change so don't take things to heart on recruiting. Enjoy the ride. It's that easy.

I agree. I'm just saying begging people you don't know to talk to you on the internet is a little sad. Making an entire thread about it is even worse. Like I said I appreciated what he shared but begging him to come back is ridiculous when you can go somewhere else and get most of the same info and many people share the pay site stuff on here too whether or not they credit the source is another thing.

Honestly Vol need to join The premium board, all the insiders were wrong on some kids and no one is throwing stones on them there like y’all do here. I remember Shea saying see if he wants to make an account there.

Burton probably told the staff he “didn’t want to compete against Rakim” as an excuse to give them as to why he wasn’t signing. This in turn made the staff tell Rakim that he had to sign now. They did this because they wanted to know for sure they had Rakim before potentially losing Burton. Rakim didn’t like being forced to sign now and dropped LSU for Maryland because of it. This then forced Burton to own up to the fact that Rakim was never the issue with him signing.
The staff handled it properly under the circumstances they were dealt. Unfortunately for the staff, the cause of all this was Burton not being honest with them from the beginning, the staff does not force Rakim to sign then. Of course there would still be no guarantee that Rakim didn’t flip anyway between now and February.
