Most of the guys coming in this class are listed as PF I think we could use a good perimeter shooter
This. We will need to add a shooter if possible. We dont have a pure shooter on the roster or coming in. Waters can drain 3s from anywhere, but a catch and shoot 2 with some size? We dont have one. Sampson is supposed to be just that but has struggled with his shot

No, it's not false. If you run all your players off, you can sign 13 new ones every year. (at least until the APR catches up with you)
I think thats what he was saying. You dont get to add 13 players to your roster regardless each year. You COULD add 13 IF you wipe your roster out completely. No team does that. Thats ridiculous. I think the main point is that however many spots are open of the 13 roster spots can be filled.

That was my point. There is no annual limit, like the 25 in football.

Sims is almost more of a 5.
I wouldn't say that only because I'm not sure he could post up someone if he tried
Hie only value on offense seems to be cleaning up some shots if the other team forgets to box him out

I meant from a talent standpoint. He seems like a high school 5 that has been unable to drop down to the 4 or 3.
He's a decent sub for just a few minutes, gets a few trash buckets, but that's about it. He should never play more than 10 a game.
Next year, he may not play at all, if he's even here.

That's exactly what I was saying.

If you have no players on scholarship then can't you sign 13 to fill your roster?

Before the dismissal didn't they have 2 available and one is for Emmitt? So one left after Emmitt and now with the dismissal that's one or maybe two more? IDK who they have in mind, everybody they had listed as interested is either committed or signed elsewhere. Well, Anfernee Simmons isn't signed or committed, other than him I don't know of anyone. IDK if they trying to flip anyone or not.

Pretty sure they only had the one available for Williams.

Not false if we loose all 13, JS

One of the guys I know the coaching staff has been out to see a couple of times in the JUCO ranks is Marlon Taylor at Panola. He's a versatilve 6'6 that can play 2-4. He has a 50 inch vertical, and is one of the most athletic players I have ever seen. Not incredibly skilled, but can knock down the 3 at a consistent level. He has an offer to Xavier, but I think that the staff is definitely going to be offering soon with the loss of Alexander

Marlon Taylor info:
LINK
6'6, 210
16.3 pts
9.8 reb
47.3%/42.0%/80.4% shooting and is taking 4.3 3's and shooting 5.4 free throws per game
So he's scoring, rebounding, can shoot the 3 and get to the line (and knock them down)...and supposedly jump out the gym.
I can get on board with this guy

Ok. Thanks. I haven't heard of this guy. Sounds like what they need to go along with the other 4. Kid sounds like a Vernel Singleton type. Except for the 3 point shooting. Vernel wasn't the best shooter, but was a beast defensively and athletically.

I think he is more comparable to Dewayne Scales or Leonard Mitchell, except Taylor can jump higher and is a little quicker. Would be a great addition to this class, if he doesn't go pro. There is a player named on Verbal Commits named Arecko (Rico) Gibson, but I can't find any info on him. Suppose to be a senior at Cordova Tenn.

I'm skeptical of both of these numbers after watching his video. I know heights are always inflated in basketball, but a 50" vertical is quite the claim.
