Shitty hurts, Red. They lost by one at a 5A Semifinalist, and three others by less than a TD against Playoff teams.

WTF? You sure you didn't mean Earl Campbell?

Palelei looks pretty good, but I'm not excited about him. He'd do great in a spread offense. He'd have a lot of fun, get a lot of attention, and maybe go to the NFL where he'd be a third down back. Les Miles is not going to sit Hilliard and Hill type backs for this guy - nor should he. Every time Bowtie mentions him he gets taller and heavier.

What I saw on the highlights is a fast, shifty, tough little back with good vision. Still, he goes down too easy because he's a shrimp. He also carries the ball in his right hand when he's running left.

If he goes to LSU the upside is five touches per game on offense. More likely he'll get buried like McGee. Now, if he's still growing, all bets are off, because we'd love to have a back like that who was 2" taller and 20 LBs heavier.

It's really amazing Penrod. This 16 year old kid is actually GROWING! I have been shocked myself. Imagine if he gets as big as his Parents.

It would shock me if he ends up at LSU. He is a bad fit for a Les Miles offense. Michael Ford is an undersized back in a Les Miles offense and he is in the 205lb range. Les likes them at least 6'0" and 225lbs plus. Les doesn't know what to do with smaller backs. These smaller backs like Palelei can be dangerous but have to be used properly. I have seen Palelei in person and he is around 5'8" to 5'9" and around 180-185 no matter what the programs says. For this kid's sake I hope he plays in a more wide open offense where he can be used properly.

Good God. Miles prefers big backs, but that doesn't mean he can't use smaller ones. Joseph Addai.

Alright, you got me there. But if you reread my previous post you'll see that I rolled with that punch!

A lot of RBs are finished growing very early. That's one reason they're elite athletes. A kid who is still growing usually doesn't have that elite coordination that he might develop later.

My two tried, lol, but the 5'7 QB with zero mobility kinda hurts too. Threw 5 int's vs Mandeville in a 1pt loss.

just going off the highlights, I would take Palelei over Williams, if it came down to one or the other. If we get Fournette he would be a great change up to compliment Fournette

Is Palelei similar to Ray Rice?

Not quite as stout, probably faster, but they both have great hands and vision. I think Boo can be used similar to how Rice is used in Baltimore.

Stephen ridley but faster
It isn't a bad comparison. They both know how to use a hop to create space. The running style is similar, even though Ridley is obviously bigger and stronger and Palelei is faster.

I'm no expert, but I do think he's a take.
