Yeah so bottom line is that a decent number play college ball at smaller programs (most weren't mentioned in this thread), and there were a few exceptions that had a role on sec teams. It's not a talent farm by any stretch, but I enjoyed my time there including playing football.

Jason and I started together at Centreville. We both started on O, D and ST our Sr year (1987-88). The funniest thing about Brabham is that he used to puke while calling the defense from time to time.
Our teammate, Daniel Jackson walked on at LSU as a RB. Trey and Kyle Wicker both played at Ole Miss. Chuck Aaron was on scholly to Bama and got in a car wreck before he even made it to campus. Most of the other guys played at SWMJC.
FWIW, I played in New Iberia for a year, moved to South Plantation HS in Florida (AAAA) and then played 2 years at CA. More speed in Florida, but the Lousiana and Mississippi kids hit harder (in my limited sample size). We got in trouble for playing pick up football with W. Winans HS during the summer once. The MPSA was segregation central back then but the truth is, there was no comparing the ACT scores between CA and Jackson High. I say that even as my mother who was teaching at Clinton High School at the time sent me to C.A....which was considerably cheaper than Silliman.

I thought it was Andrew Wicker who played at Ole Miss?

know a few girls from Silliman and I always get the sense that they were passed around like a cheap whore from guy to guy
Some were. Most dated the same guy or two throughout HS. When I got there in 9th grade I was literally the only guy who had sex in my class (from a public school). They move a little slower up there. For instance, aside from a few by the time they started smoking weed, my friends in BR were doing Molly and coke. They move at a slower pace bc literally everyone knows everyone's business.

How many little RB's they got running around up there from your rampaging?

The guy you're referring to (that brings up the auburn 90's guy) is delusional. It's a different league up there. I played literally the entire game without coming out and so did anyone with decent shred of talent. Lyle hitt had a breathing apparatus on the sideline bc they overused him. Then I move back to 5a and only play defense. It's like a difference in jr high and high school ball.

Lyle had asthma too. Poor guy.

Yeah, he was definitely a work mule there. Idk how much park view used him.
