This is false, LSU is very much in it with Koolaid...just because LSU offers someone else and willing to take their commitment doesn’t mean they are out of it for certain people. LSU board is a lot different than the recruiting services ranking. What’s higher on their board maybe lower in LSU board. Just like Kiner was near the top of Faulk board.

You can add him in there with Wheaton then. He would be too good to pass up as well IMO.

I'm not opposed to 2 backs in the class as long as they are the "right" two.

Soooo we are slow playing him. I guess the second rb pecking order is Wheaton, then either A
Hargrove or LJ.

To be fair, Wiggins name didn’t really start popping up until recent months. And its not like he camped to earn the offer.

To be fair, just because a message board hasn't mentioned his name doesn't mean the coaches haven't been on him for a long time. Contrary to what some people on message boards think we don't always know what is going on in our coaches minds.

After proving they can win a National Championship in the fashion they did, I have complete confidence that they know what they're doing. Even if it's not posted on Tiger Droppings.

His recruitment seems a little light considering he plays in Atlanta and the powers that usually recruit this area hard

Looks like a good prospect but doesn't seem like he was heavily pursued aside from Florida and west coast schools.

Yeah Corey Raymond doesn’t know what he’s doing.

It’s amazing to me how many people get wrapped up in internet recruiting rankings and don’t trust a guy who continually piles up 1st rounders and Thorpe winners.

Watch the film. Wiggins is a stud with NFL length.

While this may be true, I think that he is higher on our board than he is ranked on the recruiting sites

#6 on 247 and #9 composite is pretty darn good regardless. He's the type of CB Raymond likes. He's tall with long arms and has very good ball skills (plays WR too). His scouting report says he's a smooth athlete which means he has very good hip flexibility to turn and run with WRs.

The kid definitely looks like a take.

His recruitment is wide open, he’s really considering leaving the state

If I had to bet, I'd say Auburn, but CCR is in a dog fight for him. And I think we all know to never count him out of anything.

Did you see cardale flotts offer list? He was a 3 star and had every SEC team offer on top of the other major schools. Dude had like 30 major offers, they just whiffed on his ranking as it clearly didn't match. Also both him and Jay ward were just fine their freshman year. Especially flott, he played a ton .

If I combine these two responses, it sounds like we are in a pretty good spot.

Of course, nobody really expected the Flott commitment at the time but he earned it in camp, which is my main point.

I'm not saying they didn't target Wiggins long long ago. But there's enough of a reason to feel as if he could be a fallback plan. When you see 2 Pac 12 schools as finalists for an Atlanta kid who has no UGA offer, that's generally not a great sign for anyone who follows recruiting.

Ojulari didn't get a UGA offer for a long time.

I don't know what to believe there. His brother is UGAs best pass rusher.

It was also odd to me that UGA seemed to be recruiting Darnell Washington as hard or harder than Arik Gilbert, even though one lived across the country and the other was within an hour of campus. Perhaps system fit is a part of it.

You have to be one of the worst posters on this board LOL!!! He’s originally from the west coast that’s why he has two pac 12 schools in his finalist. You don’t know what goes on behind the scenes of things. Some of these kids are higher on the board than others by evaluations by coaches not by rankings. Recruiting is a very fluid thing. An according to 247 Georgia board they just got in it for Wiggins. Florida is also a SEC school pushing for Wiggins. Wiggins is an elite cb with great ball skills at 6’2 the perfect build for what Corey Raymond wants in his corner. A top 100 player at that. I’m sure the coaches know more than you buddy!!!

They targeted the kid from DC/MD(5* type) and got him. They liked Ojulari but that kid more.
As for Gilbert, at the beginning they thought he'd be theirs but then the Bama surge/speculation got ramped up and they switched gears more towards Washington. Of course we all know he Jedi mind tricked everyone at the end.

So you’re saying Bama, Uga, Clemson etc all close to Atlanta just whiffed on their eval of him. Got it
