we don’t have any elite talent game-changer types on board yet IMO.

Terrace Marshall and Kelvin Joseph say hello and Jamarr Chase is going to say hi in a couple of weeks.

Ah you're right about him. Total brain fart I forgot.

And I disagree about Joseph. Very good player and pumped to have him. He's not on Surtain or Marshall's level.

Surtain and Marshall are types of talent that start right away on basically any roster in America. That's how elite they are.

I really want us to lock down Surtain. With Greedy last season we finally got what has been missing on Aranda's D which is turnovers. Putting Surtain on the opposite of Greedy and an improved front 7 to pressure the QB would transform the D from very good to elite level.

reminds me a lot of the Tony Brown flip a few years ago. aint nothing a lock. Tony's sister was already enrolled at LSU for track, how did that work out.

I haven't seen any new Crystal balls going for Bama. So there's that.

Tony Brown is not the high character guy that all reports say Surtain is.

Brown is a punk.

You can’t leave out the 5 star defensive tackle And four star receiver from Texas Tech, Moss the tight end and the best kicker in America. The big nose tackle Shelvin too

In the end, we have Corey Raymond - and that will make the difference.

I would think if he did indeed flip to Saban during a in home visit. They(Surtain Family) would let Raymond know so he could move on with Goodrich.

Elite talent

Stars do not determine if you’re elite. If you actually go watch some of the film from the guys we signed, and read what previous coaches say about them.. you will take your comment back.

Just from recent recruiting years.
Greedy was #20 cb... he’s pretty f’ing elite
Delpit was the #9 safety... elite
Jacobs Stevens was THE #1 safety... didn’t play last year, even tried to move him to receiver.. not saying he isn’t elite, but he got beat out by two other freshmen and John battle
Devin white was recruited as a rb.. he will be the best linebacker in football next year

I expected more from you Caterpillar, don’t get wrapped up in he rankings. Go watch kelvins film, he is a playmaker, I could give two shites if he’s not a 5 Star

If we lose Surtain, that's a huge indictment on our staff.

Getting the best DB in the country is always a hard sell - especially for a kid from Florida. We get him I believe, but it will be a close final call vs. Bama. I would not call it an indictment on the staff. The staff is why we are in the inside lane, dude.

Well be prepared to be sick and tired for a few more years at least because I don't think Saban is going anywhere anytime soon.
