We are going to need transfers with the ability to play immediately to stabilize things, but it’s a balancing act with our depleted roster. We still need to sign a decent class out of HS to get the pipeline back up and running, otherwise you’re in the same boat in a couple of years. Unless he’s able to get a bunch of guys with 3 years of eligibility.
Glad to see him hitting the trail though. For once I’m confident that we have a coach who can manage the roster over multiple years.

He's right though. Dude was an analyst at ND. If you hired him to replace Raymond that was a dumb move. His resume is not impressive and I can't really dig anything up on him being a great recruiter. Better be moved over here as an analyst.

If we get the players to play hard, like they did against aTm and we get good QB play we can expect a year to be proud of. Got to get some OL and an experienced QB. The SEC eats rookies alive. The underclassmen QBs need time to develop.

O being a great recruiter and Raymond being irreplaceable are two great examples of the mindless groupthink that occurs here on a daily basis

You’re gonna piss off all of the Raymond groupies on here but you’re 100% right. Corey is a good dude, great recruiter, and decent coach. He’s not some football savant that we’ll never see the likes of again. The fact that Ryan Clark is melting so hard about it and taking subtle shots at LSU makes me feel even better about it.

We have no idea what role he was hired for. His commit list is actually pretty decent - not the best recruiter ever but not bad.

The high school coaches are going to be shocked to see what a real football coach sounds like when he comes to their school. It’s closer to Saban coming to their school than O. A guy who carries himself as a professional is such a huge change of pace for LSU.
