Losing top instate talent like this to Bama year in year out is starting to set a trend that will cripple LSU for years to come.

Jaquelin Roy
Jacobian Guillory
Kayshon Boutte
Chris Hilton
TJ Finley

2020 and 2021 class Louisiana kids that Bama wanted. No papers have been signed yet for 2021. Still possible we sign some more besides Hilton. Recruiting is a patience game as much as it is a momentum game. Have to stay on them until the ink is dry and the class is finished. Let’s hold the nuclear melts until the class is actually finished.

LSU's 247 insiders just put in crystal balls for Alabama.

I maintain that there are serious issues with this staff when it comes to recruiting, and we saw a perfect example of that with last year's finish. Rakim and Burton both spurned us on signing day without telling the coaches (similar to what Ryan is doing now).

We let Major Burns walk, only to realize this year we're short on DBs and gave that scholarship to Darren Evans.

The list goes on.

Losing Sage Ryan to Alabama will easily be the biggest recruiting failure for LSU in years.

I was glad when Hootie didn't come and Adams did. It was clear that Adams was superior.

It seems like Ryan is the real deal, no? I really wish he would come to LSU.

I'm not melting about it. I'm just accepting LSU's place in college football.

Some people said the same thing about Sopsher though

People knew Sopsher had problems with his work ethic though before his commitment.

Ryan is a future All-American and first round draft pick.

It really is.

- Future super star
- Position of need, he could start as a freshman
- We are coming off the best season ever, including beating Bama
- We 3D print top round draft pick DBs
- Louisiana kid we've led with forever
- Kevin Faulk's kin

How the frick are we going to lose out on this kid? He's going to be kicking our arse the next few years and it's going to be really hard to stomach.

Says who? Him being from Louisiana and being related to Kevin Faulk isn’t “leading” for him.

Yeah, this is one that could warrant a firing.

The guys who are paid to do this. They've had high confidence in this kid going to LSU for a long, long time.

Only recently has that changed.

They had high confidence because he was related to Kevin Faulk and he was from Louisiana and lsu is DBU. As far as I’ve seen, there was no evidence that pointed them in LSU’s direction.

They said that? Usually they don't have high confidence in a kid without some sort of information.

That's purely speculation on his part.

So was he ever a soft commit or no? Seems to me this guy is a can't miss recruit so losing him for all of the reasons people have said don't make sense.

O better get his arse in gear cause we can't start losing talent again to Saban like this.

Coaches wives play a big part in recruiting.. when the head coach is dating a hot young piece , with her arse hanging out in pics on the internet, moms don’t like that shite.

I’m not mad at coach, more power to him but there is a ripple effect to his actions
