I don't remember rg3 have Louisiana high on any kind list!

Don't worry. Papa Nick doesn't come here.

Imagine Big cam blocking up front for Fournette

I spoke to A source close to the situation that said RG3 wanted to walkon at LSU...
My source also said Vince young wanted to play QB at LSU but Saban was recruiting him as a receiver

It's really not. You don't have to be so sad though.

I don't think Saban is that dumb when he's getting Adrian Peterson comparisons. Crutchfield will be on Bama staff if Fournette goes there
Really? After yeldon it's the Henry show. The next bad mfer we will have to deal with.
LF ain't starting over those 2. And there is many more.

That would be quite the dumb. Don't believe.

didn't we lose out on Vince Young because Saban wanted him at LSU as a WR?
We definitely lost Pat White because Saban wanted him as a DB.

LF could definitely be successful at linebacker. No doubt about it.

Yes he did.
Saban also wanted Brandon Jacobs at LB and Pat White at CB.
Misjudging talent happens to all coaches.
Just as a sidenote.... Stevan Ridley was recruited as a LB by Ole Miss. Miles offered him to play RB, and that's why he came to LSU.

Interesting note about Ridley being recruited as an LB by Ole Miss and Miles offering him as an RB
Of course, if this is the case with Fournette, would be great. Now I do recall that Saban recruited Marcus Spears as a TE and he did play there at first, before becoming a DE. Seems like many thought his future prospects were much better as a DE. So does anyone else recall much about this?

I heard this post in the voice of the City Wok guy from South Park when I read it.

Marcus wanted to play TE, but Saban convinced him that if he moved to DE, he'd be a first rounder. He was one of a only a handful of players Saban would acknowledge and actually talk to on the team off the field.

quote:Yeah, but that really isn't the same because Ridley played LB in HS and was arguably more impressive on the defensive side of the ball. Anyone who watched Ridley on special teams as an LSU freshman got a glimpse of what could have been had he played LB. People on this board were very skeptical of Ridley as a RB when he committed. Everyone on here was sure that he would end up at FB or LB.

All that with Ridley was a very different situation from telling the best RB prospect in 10 years that he should think about switching positions.
