It wouldn't fall apart, but they would lose a few.

There are hundreds of prospects in Texas.....he can only recruit 25....

We could get under the radar type guys like Danielle Hunter. But we more than likely wouldn't be in on guys like Paris and Tony Brown (the best of the best in TX). Especially now that A&M is on the rise too. And he'd still be a thorn in our side for LA recruits.

Saban to Texas makes some sense: better recruiting by far, and a cupcake path to the title playoff. Texas would be a virtual lock every year.

Makes a ton of sense to me.

It's ridiculous that people talk about him being too old to "start over." You don't "start over" at Texas. He'd have them in BCS title contention in 2 years for sure.

You morons do realize that Texas has more fertile recruiting grounds and a longer arm than Bama. We'll likely win more SEC titles if he leaves, but what he could do with Texas's resources is flat out scary. Not to mention it would be fricking awful for our recruiting. Texas is the sleeping monster that we don't to wake.

I said all this and got laughed at. Saban at Bama is beatable, and we're in good shape to compete with him. If he takes his LA and AL connections and then lords over the state of Texas, I may quit watching for a few years.

Think about it, with the sheer numbers of elite talent in Texas, he wouldn't need to come in LA. And he'd be out of the SEC West!

He would do it just to piss off the LSU fans, so that he could come to TD, read their rants, and then laugh and laugh while he rolls around in all the money Tx is giving him.

He's going to become AD and head coach at UT. The AD position is for when he decides to hang up coaching and he's got something to keep him from getting bored.

Meanwhile, since Stoops thinks SEC has shitty defense, Saban's decided to make a personal visit to the little 10 to show him how shitty they really are.

He doesn't want to be the AD. Can't. His people skills and lack of patience would never allow him to be successful as an AD.
