I’d love to know what their offensive coaches are selling these kids

Playing time.

Kirby will give carries to at least 4 backs throughout the season.

I honestly could care less because that offensive philosophy will never get them a championship. Having a game manager qb and an early 2007-2012 Nick Saban style offense won't cut it.

The East still sucks for the foreseeable future so they'll continue to own it on talent but execution is a different story come playoff and Sec championship time.

Is playing time a factor when you are splitting carries your whole career? That offense is straight out of Les Miles’ playbook and will never work at an elite level. Kudos to UGA for getting them, but man these kids are lost when making these decisions.

You saw it earlier in this thread and you'll hear any UgA fan regurgitate the same talking point.

It's all about less carries and getting them ready for the league.

This along with promising them immediate playing time is the selling point.

Ok, so Georgia has:

Kenny McIntosh 4* (Rivals & 247)
Zamir White 5* (Rivals & 247)
James Cook 5* (Rivals)
Kendall Milton 5* (Rivals)

We have:

TDP 4* (247)
Chris Curry 4* (247)
John Emery 5* (247)

I'm having trouble making sense of immediate playing time. How can you say that?

One of them will transfer most likely Kenny who hasn't seen the field at all.

Kirby give snaps to 4 backs throughout the season. He's also banking on Zamir having a breakout year and going pro.

If the 2 freshmen have success next year I can see Cook transferring.

Furthermore, if it's leaked, where apparently five 247 Mods put in CB's for him to Ga. today, why does Wiltfong just change his to foggy? why not all the way to Ga.?

so it still begs the question, he's gambling on these things happening, why not just choose LSU with less gamble?? what about Curry transferring, then you even have a better shot still with LSU.

Still, he signs with Ga. on the "most likely" one or 2 will transfer? I'm think I'm believing strictly the $$ thing.
and 13 hours away for grandma? 4 hrs for LSU? Frustrating...

Anyway, this board said Gibbs was pretty locked into GaTech.
Do we even have a shot?

Uga will have 1 less back in the league if poo arse Michel keeps plodding along at 1.4 ypc

And yes the above comment is tinged with fantasy football disappointment

Jahmyr Gibbs will not sign with Georgia Tech.

He was holding out all season for the UGA offer, and that isn’t coming at this point.

50/50 between LSU and Florida is my guess.

I think he would be a good fit for you guys and would bring a similar skill set/versatility as you’ve had in CEH.

correct

For Evans, that PLUS another season where Georgia's production (even with a consensus #1 OL) was very average...and now the revelation that the thing they sold the most (OL Coach who is now the HC at Ark) is gone make Georgia a really bad fit.

Of course, that doesn't mean anything. Sometimes, bad decisions are made.
