Not necessary but it would be appreciated. Just curious why not chatter out of LSU on this guy. I know that all athletes have a school or two that they would like to attend but I also know that several minds have been changed after they have had a chance to encounter the LSU experience.

Stefon Diggs, WR, Olney (Md.) Good Counsel

Isn't this the same school that Jelani Jenkins (Florida) went to?

I saw Aledo's coaches in a clinic this past month. That kid is very very very special. I will enjoy watching him where ever he goes.

His highlights show a potential 2.0 version of Adrian Peterson, sans the foolish slavery talk....hopefully.

Is Mack Brown avoiding athletes connected with Lyles?

With all this shite going on, wouldn't you?

Seriously doubt Mack Brown is gonna "pass" on Gray regardless of who he is connected to.

Gary Patterson has been recruiting Johnathan Gray since he was playing Pop Warner football as a 7th grader. Johnathan's father partied with Patterson on the field in Pasadena after TCU won the Rose Bowl. Johnathan & his father routinely attend TCU practices as there home is only about ten miles from TCU's campus. Johnathan is a smart kid, with good grades, and is a winner on and off the field. He is not involved with any kind of street agent and the only person who matters (besides Johnathan) is his father, who was a running back at Texas Tech. Johnathan has allready ruled out Tech and everyone else except for TCU, Texas, and A&M.

The finalists for Gray are TCU / Texas in that order. A&M is not a serious contender and they have allready lowered their sites towards Trey Williams (Williams, by the way will end up in the SEC, so Aggie will whiff on both).

I would say that there is about a 60% chance of TCU / 40% for Texas.

It would not suprise me at all to see Gray at TCU. I spent a little bit of time in Aledo after Katrina and it seemed like a very pro TCU place. It could be the house I was staying at was a TCU booster though

If he really likes TCU and his father has a really good relationship with Patterson, I don't find it an impossibility that he could end up at TCU.

They'll be in a BCS conference and will have shots at playing for the National Championship. They just won a BCS bowl. Tomlinson was a high 1st rd.

We'll see.

Would be the biggest recruit in TCU history if they pulled Gray. The ties to TCU are great but one thing being overlooked on Texas' side is that both Gray and his father want to play with another top back. He's carried a heavy load in HS and wants someone to share the carries in college because a RB these days can only take so much wear and tear.Malcolm Brown is the perfect complement to Gray and one huge reason why most every major recruiting head thinks he ends up at Texas. He's clearly above the talent at rb that TCU has(they have good talent it just speaks to how talented Gray is)and may see LT type numbers in regards to carries at TCU.He doesn't want that.To me it's a refreshing and smart thing that he knows that sharing the load is better for him than wearing himself out before he ever sees his payday.

Sweet shirt Johnny!

You got Trey going to Aub? How confident are you on that? Serious question, I know he's looking at them but you offer your statement with much confidence.

I guess dressing like Ryan Seacrest takes some confidence.

Malcolm Brown is the perfect complement to Gray and one huge reason why most every major recruiting head thinks he ends up at Texas. He's clearly above the talent at rb that TCU has

-------------
You are completely uninformed about the talent both schools have at running back. TCU features the following:

Aundrey Dean - Parade all american 4 star rivals recruit out of Katy High School in Houston.

Waymon James - 4 star rivals recruit out of Sherman Texas.

Ethan Grant - 4 star rivals recruit out of Coconut Creek Florida.

This list doesn't include their leading rusher from last year - Ed Wesley who had over 1000 yards.

It also doesn't include the best running back no one has ever heard of, but here is a scouting report for Dwight Smith out of Carthage.
Dwight Smith

Even with Malcolm Brown, Mac Brown would trade running back crews with Gary Patterson in a heart beat, and anyone who suggests Texas has better backs than TCU is showing his arse.
