Sweet shirt Johnny!

You got Trey going to Aub? How confident are you on that? Serious question, I know he's looking at them but you offer your statement with much confidence.

I guess dressing like Ryan Seacrest takes some confidence.

West Coast Johnny out

No Beiber, I'm not a clown, I asked about your Trey to SEC comment.

Is reading comprehension not your strength? Answer when it's conveinet, maybe after your hair appioment.

Since you are the JGray expert I am certain you read about both he and his father expressing interest in being in the same backfield with Mal Brown so his body doesn't have to take all the abuse.

Enjoy your road games on Syracuse, New Jersey and Connericut. I guess the Orange Bowl where the toads will no doubt hemorrhage money is a good consolation.

How hard would TCU fans come if they sign Gray?

I'm thinking:

The Orange Bowl is a lot better than anything A&M has managed to reach since like the 1930s so I don't know why you think you can talk shite.

You wanna talk about the 0-4 record against the SEC the last two years? Maybe when A&M starts winning against some big boys you can talk. You've been fine up until this point. Don't become the typical A&M arse clowns that I've known

Geaux- I was asking the guy to back up his remarks that he issued with such certainty. No one likes the new guy that makes blanket statements with nothing to corroborate, agree?

And the 98 Sugar Bowl is pretty comparable to the OB, IMO.

I’m not going to get into us vs. “the big boys”. I have said more than 10 times on TD that we aren’t at the level we ought to be and one good half season is by know means a “we’re back” statement.

You really ought not judge all by some, it probably would work out about the same for you as it would for me. I consider myself a very realistic sports fan and Aggie. While I am a die hard I’m not a moron, I’ve never owned maroon glasses and quickly admonish those that do. I seem to talk shop with rivals better than my own sometime, except Johnny that is.

I'm guessing you went to A&M as well so you know what I had to deal with for 4 years. No harm intended at you, but you have to admit there are a lot more of the kool-aiders than there are the more rational folks like us

Gray is crazy good. I saw him last year and he's the type of back that has several runs a game for touchdowns where it looks as if there is no defense on the feild.

He's not a big back, but still looks like a man among boys. That's how good he is. He also plays on a team that hasn't lost a game since he's been there and he will be playing for third straight state championship this year.

Texas, TCU or A&M at this point.

I know this was not in any way directed at me - but as I've got some pretty decent TCU ties myself - I will say this about West Coast Johnny: He's not going to come here and blow smoke. From what I know of him from elsewhere - his posting philosophy is similar to my "watching Jeopardy in a room full of people" philosophy - I don't say anything out loud unless I'm 99% sure I'm right.

Be prepared - You're going to see a lot more TCU folks around here because
a) The TCU/LSU 2013 & 2014 games inching closer b) The move to a BCS Conference will generate curiosity regarding "who's next door" and potential recruits
c) This Board (TD.com in general, actually) is an amazing resource. I'd be hard pressed to find a board capable of consistently out-scooping this one.
d) I highly recommend this board to a lot of folks from a lot of places for a lot of reasons... Many of them are Horned Frogs

That being said - I know most of y'all don't know me from a hole in the ground over here in Recruitingville... but it wouldn't take you all but 2 minutes to find I've got a fairly decent reputation. I know there's a lot of blowhard rookies that come on here talking smack - but most TCU fans (REAL TCU fans) a great people who just happen to have a bit of a "phantom" chip on their shoulder. The chip manifests itself as a the result of having endured such constant baseless harassment over the years that they tend to lash out a little when they feel like they're being poked with a stick.

If you refrain from knee-jerk stick usage - You'll be rewarded with fine football discussion in general... and real deal info with what's happening with future prospects in Texas. Guaranteed.

West coast johnny,I'm not uninformed about those backs as i've seen all of them throughout their recruitments. The point of my post is that Gray is a very significant amount more talented than they are.No one can question that. Those guys are good solid backs but none of them are anywhere near the caliber of Gray.If Gray goes to TCU he'll step into the starting position immediately and patterson is going to ride him as far as he can.Of course TCU has good depth at RB but that depth is unimportant if Gray takes all the carries because he gives the team the best chance of winning.Brown at Texas could push Gray for the starting job and when he's in the game there wouldn't be a significant dropoff in talent.I've also seen every article that's been made public in regards to Gray's recruitment and i've seen qoutes from his father regarding having Brown to share the load with Jonathon.I've never seen him mention the backs at TCU in that way.He knows that Jonathon would easily be the guy there and even with good depth that Gray would be ridden hard.None of what i said was meant badly towards TCu because i like the program and root for them every week.I hope they land jonathon. It would be great to see the meltdown and excuses from Longhorn fans as to why they lost a kid to TCU.That said TCU's talent level and level of recruiting is not in the same class as Texas at this point. It may grow as they prove that they can handle everyday life in a BCS confernece(if anyone really considers the Big East one anymore)but not at this point.

Anyone who saw the 3a championship game in 2009 might have a question or two about who the best running back on TCU would be.

That's true of most possitions on the field, but not Running Back. Texas has done an absolute horrible job at evaluating talent at the running back possition. Their leading rusher last year was Cody Johnson, a fullback. Tre Newton, Fuzzy Whittaker & Vondrel McGee are horrible. Their best runner since Jamal Charles graduated has been Colt McCoy. Nothing opitomizes the epic failure by Mack Brown last year than the fact that Texas doesn't have a good running back. Hey Mack, you're Texas! You can cherry pick the best running back in the state, and this is the best you can come up with?

And looking ahead, Malcolm Brown is overrated as well. His Quarterback in Highschool (Tommy Armstrong)is very good at running the zone read offense and a lot of the stats Brown built up last year were the result of impecable decission making by his QB.

Barring a injury, and if Gray has another year like he has his last two, he will be looked at as the best high school back ever. His numbers are just that good and he plays in a tough district.Compare if you will but his numbers are off the chart good. One injury could end all of this and he has be wearing an inflatable brace and sling for the past month or so at school. Not sure of the issue but i would imagine rotator cuff or shoulder issue. I will have my kid find out and update this post.

Gray had his shoulder cleaned up earlier this year...

That is why he is in the brace and one of the reasons why it is likely he goes to someplace with another high profile back to help lessen the load so the speak.

I can't blame him and his family. If the goal is the NFL, reducing the amount of abuse he takes before he gets there is paramount after already having 2 separate operations on his shoulders.
