I know right. Look I'm not saying he is or isn't but he has no way of knowing that. To me TE is a tad slow and not as shifty as Akers. I know our coaching changes didn't help but I just thought we would be after more big time guys in this class.

I am from MS. It seems by your handle you may lean towards CA but let me say this. It is not so much that Etienne is underrated as it is that Akers is somewhat over rated. Running backs come and go. Very rarely are they of the caliber of Fournette. Akers is not even the caliber of Guice. I have seen him play live on numerous ocassions and if he were not in the wild cat formation and actually had to take a hand off and hit the line with his shoulders square he is not nearly as effective. IE the MS/AL game. He got about 25 touches and I dont think he rushed for 40 yards. Plus since he was subject to throw the ball in HS the defense could not solely key on him as they will when he lines up as a true RB in college. Give me Clyde or Travis any day.

Not being a priority is telling. I like the guy but just saying we could have gone after more OOS guys

I noticed this too. On most of his highlights he bounced out and went untouched. He has speed and moves in the open field but you didn't see him hit a hole and break many tackles.

He has an offer from Bama and a few others...

why in the heck had we not offered? was because we were all in for Akers?

I just watched the highlights, he is fast...

Watched Akers highlights, I looks a little more fluid, like it's easier for him to outrun people....not sure ,just my take

If the talent level is at least pretty good and the kids heart is here, sign 25 just like him. Those are the guys I'll be glad to support

Look. CA is a great back. But get real but TE is everything he is and more. Taller, stronger, and faster.

LSU didn't lose a thing today. If YE comes on board, it's better for us.

I'm with you. Saw some highlights of akers, etienne and that kid from catholic that is committed to us.

The two from LA looked to be better true RB prospects than akers.

We get these two, and I think we will, we are fine.
