I like LSU's chances after reading this article! ESPN
Article is about SEC schools recruiting Houston area kids. Says Houston kids want to play in the SEC because they know it's the best conference.
On Bama commit Maurice Smith...
No wonder Mack hired three SEC assistants and got more aggressive.
This part is about a sophomore CB at St. Pius (the team that beat Sealy Thursday night):

Seals-Jones grew up a fan of the Longhorns. He was a fifth-grader when Houston-bred quarterback Vince Young led UT to the national title.
His memory from that night? Convincing his mother to let him stay up and watch. The experience simply doesn't resonate with him the way it did for recruits two or three years ago. All he knows are national champions from the SEC.
"The SEC is where the big boys play," said Seals-Jones, who's still considering the Longhorns. "You do have to look at that. It's kind of a big deal."

Like so many others here, Smith said he considered Texas his "dream school" as a kid
But the opportunity to play against better competition -- even in practice -- helped convince him to pick Alabama, he said. He made the choice with one eye on college and one on the NFL.
"That's a big deal if you're trying to make it to the league," said Smith

Pius coach Blake Ware said he was eager to watch sophomore cornerback Will Lockett get a crack at Seals-Jones on Thursday night.
And guess what school Lockett likes.
"When he first walked through that door, he said he wanted to go to LSU," Ware said. "These kids have been following college football since the fourth, fifth grade, and all they know is the SEC. "

After all the dropped passes last night any WR should be looking at LSU and think they could come in and play now.

Lots of drops from some unlikely culprits. Coach Henry has lots of ammo to use to let them know there's still work to do. Was impressed with the guy throwing the ball.
Was even more impressed with the guys giving him time. Dworaczyk filled in like the grown man he is. The young guys were solid too.
Nice game for those War Hawks!

Yep he should be in the NFL if not for injuries.

Always root for the home town teams and every now and then they pull one out of their arse.

Like I posted in another thread I see a close family member of his daily.
The family member says it is even between UT, A&M and LSU.
Was told this earlier this week.

99.9% UT

I don't think the percentage is that high. I think he ends up at Texas, don't get me wrong but the Texas insiders are sweating and they don't do that when percentages are that high. They are very open to locking kids in when circumstances are there and with RSJ, they aren't. Factions of his team are not on Texas' side. Gonna be interesting, especially the basketball side with the injury factored in.

60% UT
30% LSU
10% A&M
No but seriously I have no idea. This kid will come down to signing day and when UT finishes 8-4 and LSU wins the national title Baton Rouge will begin looking better and better.

LSU is slow playing him and I don't blame them. too early to commmit to a guy till he really proves he can and wants to vbe a tiger
