Pretty pathetic all the 247 texas guys are all commenting that RSJ is asking for money and that why Texas has backed off.

UT may be one of the biggest butt hurt fan bases out there if a Texas kid doesnt just fall to their knees wanting to be a longhorn.

You know, I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I agree with the Texas guys. Something isn't right here.

First, he hurts his knee. Regardless of the severity of the injury, it's still the knee. Add that to the fact that he's allegedly involved with an AAU coach. Everyone and their mother that follows recruiting know that AAU coaches are the scum of the earth.

Something isn't right here for Texas just to stop recruiting him cold turkey. If I were LSU, I think I'd be walking on egg shells at this point.

I hope no one tries to say that these rumors are never true about street agents. Remember Seastrunk. We even had a guy here that knew him personally and swore up and down that Seastrunk and his family would ever be involved with something like that.

It's cliche on these boards, but where there's smoke, there's fire.

Prominetown,

I'd agree if it were LSU just backing out or USC or something. But Texas has a history of disparaging prospective student athletes when they might lose out on them. Shameful when they've done it. Who knows.

Funny how this happens after a bad injury. Not saying the rumors aren't true, that area is well known to have agents and handlers

What B.S... Would you like to name a few?

BTW, the rumors on fan message boards do not equal the school disparaging a kid or his family.

I agree, Prominentwon.

Not saying they are all bad, but having your AAU coach as an integral part of your recruitment normally doesn't end up well for either the recruit or the schools involved.

I don't know the full story behind Texas moving on but I believe it has something to do with the AAU coach.

That they are... Though Gerry and gang isn't saying that, so lay off them... It's like the fans (like us with LC to a lesser extent) that are just mad

What do you mean that area?

Mack brown will pull a ship before he risks losing a recruiting battle to the Ags this year. Too big of a deal has been made about what kind of a recruiting advantage the SEC will give A&M. Texas got wind of their chances.

Wait wait wait, let me make sure I have this right.

You are saying Mack Brown pulled the scholly because TAMU has a better chance of signing him? Like a "saveing face" move so he cant say he lost a recruit?

Aggy, the vast majority of our current commits have A&M offers...at this time Texas vs A&M recruiting is not much of a "battle".

FWIW, at least one other Texas site is reporting that nothing of this sort has happened. Who knows. 247 usually pretty good though.
