What's going on with Dontre Wilson? Did he tell tOSU it is between them & Oregon? Was wondering if he has said he wants to play with Barrett or something. Never thought Meyer could beat out Mack & Les for two guys they really wanted from Texas.

We offered Wilson as a CB, and while he said he likes that idea, I still think he wants to play RB.
I just like seeing Texas recruits becoming more open to leaving. Gives us an opportunity to make a huge splash for next year, especially with guys like Edward Paris and Toney Brown

100% factual
My god, you guys sounds like such petty idiots with your hatred of Texas.
Upshaw, Richardson, Barron, and Kirpatrick all played for Alabama against LSU in the BCS CG last year, played against Texas in the BCS CG in 2009, that's how longs its been since Texas was relevant

There was a misunderstanding according to his father. OSU has a lot of ground to make up on Texas and Oregon but Meyer is coming at him hard.
If not for distance he would've already committed to the Ducks. Their offense is perfect for him. Our depth chart and his concern on how we will get him touches may hurt us in the end.

Thanks. I understand that I'm a visitor and don't want to wear out my welcome.
I appreciate the input/insight into the LSU side of things especially when talking about prospects that are targets for both of our teams.

Lot of good posters on this board.

ATX, what are you hearing about Prevot? What are you hearing about Paris (2014)?

What I'm getting on Prevot is that he is a real thoughtful kid who really wants to make the best decision for him...and to do that is gonna take some time. Education is a big deal to him...the kind of kid that probably reads more books than watches TV.
Just a hunch, I would say LSU at this point as I think he really values that you guys offered him 1st.
As for Paris, I know he's a LA native and loves LSU/SEC...I know we'll show him some love but I don't think we'll be much of a factor in the end. 2014 crop of DB's in Texas is loaded with talent so we have a lot to choose from in that class.
Paris, Tony Brown, and Darrion Johnson are all top level TX DB recruits who are high on LSU for 2014.

on Paris, this is what Brian Perroni had to say recently:
quote:
From all indications right now, Paris is a big-time LSU lean. He is from Louisiana and seems to really want to return to play college ball.

They all got one of these in the "2014 LSU/Louisiana prospects" thread for being a part of Orangebloods' 2014 Lone Star 100:
Eight of the top 20 have an interest in LSU.
