Checking in here.

RSJ killed the BB tourney and his team was given special treatment to "minimize distractions", meaning after his games ended they were escorted to a secluded locker room, whereas the other teams simply left the gym. They also had dedicated security guards for whatever reason - wonder which school facilitated that treatment?

Back to the subject, he's being vague to everyone including his own family. He favors BB over FB right now, but we will see how he feels in the fall when FB season rolls around and he visits LSU/Bama on the sidelines...as a Tiger visit!

That said, Bama is probing low key...knowing Saban, he will wait for his time to make a last minute strike for the kid. But Bama is certainly on his radar as others have mentioned.

Trying to get pics to post from this past weekend, not sure if his family will "release" the pics....same camera that took the photos of LaFell's football camp I mentioned earlier in this thread. Hoping to get those as well.

Sorry this update sucks balls, it's all I was able to get. I've got to post carefully on here, the family lurks on here and I don't want to get my babble mouth source in trouble.

I don't see Baylor getting him unless he only wants to play basketball.

Like what jdg said, I think it's an LSU/A&M battle

Houston Chronicle Mack Brown at his best.

quote:

“Sometimes people panic when you lose a guy,” Brown said. “We might have been trying to lose the guy. Maybe we didn’t want him, and he didn’t fit us. And in some cases, we’ve moved on long before the public moves on.”

No wonder their fans think the way they do. Hope no real reason for him to say this comes out at a later date.

Sounds like typical spin, but he does make a good point. no need to panic over losing 1 guy.

So Seals-Jones and Rhodes don't fit in their offense? That makes perfect logic: he enjoys his mediocre offense.

But they did when they took RSJ's commitment and offered Rhodes.

Seems like he is implying their recruiting processes were dirty and Texas didn't find out until after the commitment and the offer.

Urm.. He is definitely not done with Texas. It was reported yesterday that he was going to trip to Austin today, but that might be on hold as some of the basketball coaches weren't in town. He's definitely going back to Austin and it might be to re-commit.

He had some quotes yesterday that said "Texas and A&M were tied at the top".

How good is TAMU's basketball program?

Didn't his parents basically want him to pick Texas and LSU was #2? Don't see how that could change.
