Does Bryce have a Y Double Full?
She does. Lets not forget Tatum as well with her 1.5. There needs to be a minimum of five 10.0 vaults next year.
Zoe and Konnor are headed to Jesolo

Bryce has only been competing the full i think this season

You are correct when it comes to Bryce’s vault.
Looking ahead to next year, our 5/6 on bars is, needs to be snd should be Haleigh and Kiya (either one in the 5 spot and the other in the 6 spot the same way they are on vault and floor) with Aleah at 4. They are our 3 BEST bar swingers with the least amount of built-in deductions, especially with their form in the handstand (straight arms and locked out elbows all the way down to the pointed toes right on top of the bar).
I love Alyona as a gymnast but I feel like she misses the mark on this more times than not where it’s hard to tell if her feet are actually pointed or not because of the amount of tape on her feet and ankles, and her handstands being in the ten degree vertical range but closer to the 80 degrees due to the pike in her hips vs the straight up and down 90. I also notice those same toe point issues with Alyona throughout her beam routine as well as well as her leaps on floor. This is just something that I as a former competitive dancer have been able to catch and notice with a naked eye because I’ve been trained to spot it my entire life through ballet technique classes. (unrelated to our team but still a valid point): it is in my opinion why Alyssa Baumann at Florida still has yet to score a ten on beam. Her toe point, or lack thereof, absolutely IRKS me.
Also, compared to last season, Aleah will actually be on campus this summer with the team to train and get ready for next season instead of coming off her elite career and recovering from surgery like she did heading into this school year. If it were up to me, the other 3 on bars for us next year would be Tori, Alexis and one of the freshman (Lilly, Annie or Ashley). All 3 freshman have excellent form on that event and if they stay healthy, have the capability to score better and hit more consistently then our upperclassmen.
With Alyona’s same dismount issues she’s has since she came in, I can’t trust her on that event anymore and I think she’s hit her ceiling with what she’s capable of score wise, at least until her dismount is fixed.
I love Alyona and Livvy as gymnasts and people but given the roster we’ll have next year, I hope we only see them on vault (since she has a 1.5) and beam respectively. Both girls look awkward on floor to me. It may just be the tumbling passes and choreography that they’ve had but for me, Alyona looks too spastic and Livvy looks like an awkward wet noodle/the inflatable tube man when she tumbles, because of how tall she is and how she runs.
Let’s just hope that Jay has actually learned enough from his downfalls as a head coach/co-head coach over the last 3 years with no post season success to actually make the right lineup and coaching calls next year that’ll get us to the top.

I would actually prefer Haleigh or Kiya anchor. Either way, Kiya has to move down the lineup. I think she gets underscored too often being in the lead off.

He is high on Alyona so it is a strong possibility that he will keep her in the bar lineup even with form issues. It is hard to understand why he doesn't see the deductions in some of the girls.
Also, the YF's did not score high in regionals so surely he will strive to put 10 vaults in the lineup. If not, he will get mediocre scores that will not be in contention with the rest of the teams.
I also wonder if the Griffiths will accept a HC position if offered at the end of the season. Jay will be in a bind for sure if that happens.

Bar lineup for next year, people aren’t talking about Ashley Cowan enough. I feel good she breaks that lineup.
Also have Jeffrey and Aleah to work with. Zero reason not to have major improvements

Will Aleah be on campus this summer? She’s going to compete elite so it’s possible she may train at GAGE. I wonder if she’ll take a college coach vs club coach with her to her competition in May…(I’ve seen athletes do it both ways)

I don’t see him taking alonya out because she does score high a lot. Now livvy on the other hand, love her on floor and would still like to see her on beam but take her out of bars. I don’t think he will take kiya out of leadoff position because he already says he likes her there because he can count on her. I’ll be interested to see who beam leadoff is next year though.

Any idea if/when Jay will do a press conference this week? I sincerely hope the reporters (Rabalais mostly) will ask the hard questions.

So much for her healing up in the off season.

*Alyona not *alonya lol
I think you’re wrong about this. The reason being: Sami Durante. I thought the same thing about Sami being in the lead off spot for her first couple years of college, until S Finnegan, Priessman, Edney and Harrold graduated. Sami was the next best bar worker behind them with the consistency to match. I think Jay will apply the same logic to Kiya since he typically likes having a senior anchor and a freshman lead off, unless there’s someone younger better suited for that spot (for example: Shae Zamardi leading off as a senior and Lexie Priessman anchoring as a sophomore AND Myia Hambrick as a senior in the 2 spot with Sarah Finnegan anchoring as a junior). If we follow the pattern, I think he’ll either put a freshman or sophomore in the lead off spot and Haleigh and Kiya as his 5-6 since they are his 1-2 punch and 2 of his best and most consistent on that event

KJ has to have a 10 start value in the bag. It looked like what she was doing the 9.95 at the end of the year with ease. She he some serious height and distance in it too.

She was training the double all fall, but due to Jay’s total BS “easing the freshman in” policy, she stopped training it even after the full became too easy for her and she kept sticking it consistently and scored a perfect 9.95 with her full

I don't have an issue per say with Dunne on bars but she will always be stuck at a 9.85-9.875 with a max of a 9.90 strictly due to the dismount. She actually has good lines, points her toes and has the qualities of a great bar worker but the form on her dismount is what kills her. It goes beyond being whippy, she is piking down mid air knees bend, and has a noticeable leg separation. So it will always be a solid routine but its never going to be a big scorer unless they put in a clean dismount. Look what happened with Bryant once she got a clean dismount? Those scores jumped up to 9.925's and 9.95's.

Kiya will be rotating with auburn at nationals so she’ll vault after Suni or Derrian
Posted on 4/5/22 at 8:12 am to Twz
LSU hasn't acknowledged Kiya's bid to the Natty. I am seeing announcements from other teams across Social Media of individuals heading to Texas. Hopefully, we will get some information today and should have a press conference coming from Jay at some point. This silence is strange.

You guys…go read the comment Mike made responding to London 2012 under the same feed. I never laughed so hard in my life!

Also saw he mentioned the team does have a sports psychologist.

Is jay going to do a press conference.? He needs to be asked some hard questions lol. I really like mike but it’s clear he’s good friends with jay and isn’t going to focus on the issues. This segment was way to positive for a team that has finished in their worst ranking spot for nearly 10 years
