One media member had the balls to ask about other options on beam besides Sami during the media session today

Jay's response was he has full confidence in Sami. Says decisions are based on things in the gym and then mentions every athlete goes through struggles.

Come on dude. I dont think SHE even has confidence in herself on beam. Too many talented gymnasts on this team to put someone out there that has like a %50 fall rate.

Is Jeffrey at the meets? I've never looked up to see what she looks like and never really thought to see if she was dressed at each meet. Almost forgot about her because her name hasn't been mentioned on any broadcast since week one or two.

Yes, Jeffrey has been at the meets. She even did an exhibition on bars at the TWU meet. My guess is that she won’t be competing until next year after some time has gone by. But she might if some of the girls are still dealing with injuries. We shall see.

Thank the Lord!!!! We’re gonna need every bit of their performances to have a shot at beating Utah. I’m just praying that our Floor lineup is on their game tomorrow, despite the emotions attached to senior night

I am just happy to see Alyona back on vault, we needed another 10.0 vault for post season.

Agreed. Especially with Jay not letting KJ throw her double. If we don’t see it tomorrow, we won’t see it this season

I feel much more optimistic tonight than I was after reading this. Would love to beat Utah but I’d take a solid score to improve our NQS too.

Regarding this meet I would love to see improved consistency across all events. The score will come but the rankings won’t change unless Auburn has a down meet. We’re looking at starting on beam if we get the 197.65 . Having Alyona back in on vault is great but how will the time off affect her landing and same with floor endurance. Hopefully Kyia is good to go and everyone has a great last home meet and no new injuries.

I'd love to see Aleah hit a complete floor routine. She's been going 9.9 with clear mistakes on her last pass. I see no deduction on the double Arabian, so if she hits, we might see something close to a 10...

Also, is there any chance Campbell would do beam for us tonight?

We could still pass Bama in NQS with a 197.65

I think there is an outside chance we could pass Auburn, though that bonkers score from last week makes it hard. There is a more realistic shot, however, of passing Alabama. If we do that, we start on beam and end on bars, which isn't the worst for us. I would rather start on beam than end on it.

Also, whoever suggested Reagan do beam - I absolutely 100% hope we do not see her, unless an exhibition (which I don't think will happen, since she has been a non-exhibition competitor on beam historically - if anyone exhibitions, I would imagine D'antonio on beam, which I do hope will happen for her on her real senior night). I believe Reagan has been injured and hasn't been in the lineup this whole year due to consistency issues (not necessarily her fault, but 1000% not what we need for tonight).

I dont think we utilize the exhibition routines near enough. Which I kinda understand since were on TV alot but given the chance I we should us them. I see no down side.

Really surprised this meet is not televised.

It is on watchespn.com. Look for the SEC+ network.
